Yum! This might be my new favourite vermicelli bowl in Waterloo Region. Loved the pork, noodles, fish sauce and fresh ingredients. They don’t skimp on the daikon or fresh veg much appreciated. The dine-in experience is quaint and comfy. Service warm and speedy - ideal for lunch. Can’t wait to go back to try the pho and order those spring rolls again.
The vermicelli rolls were a little dry. Pho was great - I got the rare beef with tripe. Very flavourful broth.
First time trying this restaurant and ordered the bbq chicken and pork chop on rice. The portion of the chicken is very small and the chicken meat is chewy ,but with good flavour. However, when I had my first bite on the pork chop, it was not edible at all as the meat was extremely dry and hard…. Not suggesting this restaurant at all…very disappointed
Ordered the P1, S1, A1-A3. P1 House Special XL: -Broth could be a bit more rich -For price, definitely get your portion worth -Could be a tad more meat S1 Bun Bo Hue XL: -Broth could be more rich with flavour and spices -Base soup is okay -Meat quantity could be more A1 Spring Rolls: -Nice & crispy -Could be a bit bigger in size -Filling mixture was good and not over the top A2 Rice Paper Roll - Pork -Could have more meat inside -Would recommend getting beef or shrimp instead -Peanut sauce was too much hoisin base. A3 Pork Sausage Balls -No complaint -Would def recommend as appetizers Overall: -Very nice place to be -Staff very friendly -Loved the cold tea -Great quality for a place in KW. Not at the level of a GTA location
Ordered takeout here for the first time for some bún bò Huế and phở đặc biệt. Absolutely delicious and worth the price. The bún bò Huế is not heavy on the lemongrass like some places and leana more towards the taste of the shrimp paste seasonings. Their beef broth is very smooth, clear, and simple looking. However, once mixed with the sate oil, it gans this lovely red colour and looks very rich. I am happy to find a place that does the soups like this and serves it with such fresh vegetables. I also got an avocado smoothie and it was very good and well blended as well. One word to sum it up. Fresh. I would order from here again for sure!
Best pho in town! Service is excellent and attentive, and the food are reasonably priced with good portions and super fresh and tasty!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Literally my go-to place, I come here almost every week. The pho is so authentic since it’s a small viet family-run business. It comes with nice oil consistency, and you can taste the herbs and spices used in the bone broth.
Rare beef noodle soup was flavourful, and satisfying. Crispy spring rolls were good. Prices are inexpensive for uptown Waterloo.
I’ve come all the way from Kitchener to Waterloo for the food here despite the Vietnamese restaurant available in Kitchener The price is fair, food quantity is generous and quality is amazing. Staffs are amazingly friendly, helpful I love to come here in the morning, it reminds me of having breakfast like these in Vietnam I’ll come back more to try all the food in the menu even though there are not much items like other restaurants but they focus on providing high quality for each dish Thumbs up for iPho
Really good place. The fresh spring rolls tasted REALLY fresh. I thought the regular size pho was enough. They are generous with the noodles serving. The decor and design choice minimalist are pleasing to me.
Fairly great food. Meatball skewers were great as well as pad thai. Their let down is a cold blast everytime their door is open. Ruining a relaxed atmosphere they are trying to create. Secondly some waiters are very inattentive and appetizers and main course were served all at once at a very small table. Making it feel like they were trying to rush us out even when they not overall busy.
