Enjoyed a quick look around. Unfortunately the museum wasn't open when we were passing though. Next time we are in the area we will plan to explore more.
Awesome harvest fest event 2024. The free train ride that day was exhilerating even for some adults. And i loved the Camp Coffee Co. The train ride and the coffee are not normally available here though. I've not toured all the museum buildings yet but it's a high on my list, recommended to me by a tourist friend who was here from Alberta.
The Ingersoll Cheese & Agricultural Museum in Ontario offers a fascinating self-guided tour through dairy and farming history, with no entry fee—though donations are welcomed. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits and historical artifacts at their own pace. The well-preserved pioneer buildings and detailed displays vividly portray the region's agricultural past. This museum is perfect for families and history buffs seeking an educational and enjoyable experience. Don't miss this unique cultural gem!
It's a neat little chunk of Canadiana that has artifacts from the history of Ontario cheese making. Some of the screens weren't set up yet or working when we visited but there was still a decent amount to see. Even some cheese costumes and paraphernalia for a photo with the giant cheese model. It's free to visit but they accept donations and also have a small amount of Ontario cheese for sale. Friendly helpful staff. There is a small campground beside it and a park with a covered shelter.
Unfortunately my hubby and I went there after hours. We did not go inside but we did explore their beautiful grounds. You can tell there is a lot of history and it's very spacious. I loved walking the grounds and did try the Bingo! You have to find the pictures that are placed all over the grounds. I was successful. I found all but one. I couldn't find Quark! If anybody knows please post it lol I definitely want to come back when it's open!!!
