My favorite book shop. Great variety of books both in French and English. Two stories of books! Literally any genre and for any age. There are a lot of board games, toys, souvenirs and different stuff too. I also love their little coffee shop. They brew a great coffee there!
The staff are friendly but it’s hard to find help because there’s a line. And to go pay is even more long line. The washroom is dirty. Good selection but all there orchids are dry up dead. Don’t buy plants.
One of my favorite book stores and arguably one of the best in Montreal. I go here pretty often and everytime I buy multiple books at a fair price, made even fairer by a discount thanks to a yearly subscription. They also have a website in case you wanna order online. Also, there's a cute little café that you can chill at, so that makes this store even more unique.
This store has a good variety of gift options beyond books like puzzles, toys, accessories, etc. Product selection is very nice, but perhaps priced a little on the high side vs competitors. Many bilingual books, cards, and toys.
Montreal trust building housing numerous prestigious brands is a real happening place in Downtown area of Montreal, Canada Quebec.
I just love the ambience here. They have a great collection of books, stationery and other accessories which one can spend hours going through. Their coffee shop upstairs is an excellent addition as well. However, they are all about the arts and humanities genre and their collection is really very limited when it comes to other areas. As a STEM professional, I would have preferred a slightly more versatile collection to cover technical subjects as well.
One of the best bookstore at which you can go and spend a good time even if you do not want to buy anything thing. You can go, relax and read books. In addition to books, there are also sections for toys, gifts and stationary. There is also a cafe in the second floor. For those who like it and thinks that they will go more than once, I advise them to register in their membership for extra offers and discounts.
Always a great experience here, whether just browsing, buying in store although the line can be long but goes super fast!, or picking up an online order. Everyone is friendly but they’re not right on top of you if you want to browse quietly and keep to yourself. I need to try the new cafe upstairs. Also when they have someone playing piano there it’s so beautiful!
Gorgeous, huge, awesome bookstore! I really appreciated how many thoughtful displays and collections there are.
Busy bookstores? FINE, happy to see traffic for a threatened business model. The book we wanted was slightly unusual... So, fine, we ordered it from indigo online to be picked up in store with plenty of lead time for Christmas. Happy to give them the business instead of Amazon. But with Christmas closing in and inconsistent status shown for our order, we went in person to ensure that the order was being processed okay and would arrive in time. The staff were unable to give us clean status and only commented that it said right there in the policy that the estimated arrival date was not guaranteed. Perhaps so, but, with Christmas now upon us with no sign of our order, we're regretting not just doing the easy thing and gone with Amazon. Guys: you are competing with a monster and will be unfortunately held to the high standards that Amazon sets for smooth processing... We tried to give you our business and you let us down.
