Store is well run. There were a couple of ladies near checkout who appeared to be focusing on customer experience. There was a backlog because the cashier and the buyer were taking their time, practically socializing. I asked the ladies if they could bring someone and they were already on it. I was probably more irritable than I should have been, but after being next in line and observing the that the initial customer was still chatting after several minutes, I lost it, pointing it out to the ladies, and one of them ended up moving up to the 3rd cashier spot. I was really impressed with their flexibility and their focus on service.
The BEST staff in all the chapters/Indigo stores I've been in over the past 2 decades. Incredibly helpful, patient and friendly even on a busy weekend. Shout out to the 2 individuals on cash yesterday evening, Zach and a lovely young lady with curly hair plus Elena. Thank you for helping me find my books, advice on damaged items and finding a replacement copy. Hands down the best customer service I've received in retail services in a very long time.
The store is a massive improvement to the former Indigo location in Richmond Hill. There are massive amounts of reading material, toys for family members and intellectual collectibles.nnOne thing I recommend for customers to avoid lineups is to place an order online. You can avoid the general lineup at this busy store. The store also has a specific section for Farsi. That itself is not an issue. The Markham one has Chinese. I suspect other locations that have a large majority of immigrant population to have such reading material. It is the free market after all. The issue is why not have the two official languages instead at all stores? Wouldn’t that be more Canadian than anything else? And fit the pro-Canada marketing?nnBesides that, it is a huge improvement to the former location.
This Indigo book store is very well organized and clean. Starbucks is right next to it which is nice if you want to read and have coffee.
This is a great combination of experience and brand store. We always have a great time here. Plenty of books to browse through but an equal amount of Indigo lifestyle products. The kids section is always a Win! Recommended.
