The ice cream was delicious! My husband and I stood in line about 15 minutes and it was worth the wait. The ‘regular’ size was the perfect amount. The waffle cones were thin, crisp, and sturdy. I got the Theo’s chocolate sauce and my husband got the strawberry sauce. Both were delicious, but I did prefer the chocolate. What a treat!
I’d say it’s decent ice cream from the soft serve perspective. The $2 add on of mochi and syrup is not worth it. I tried the swirl flavor mixing original and black sesame, there was ice pieces mixed in. The texture is not the best I could get in Seattle and given I paid $11 for it I was expecting a bit more. Also limited outdoor seating I think only one table? so it’s gotta be a grab and go.
Really love the soft ice cream, like the best ones you can have in Japan, which is usually using milk from Hokkaido. The taste is very milky, you can taste a bit of the milk cream and the best of it is that is not very sweet, just sweet enough for tasting the cream and offset the tiny bit of saltiness that might come from the cream. Just perfect! It is not on my top soft ice cream with milk from Hokkaido, but it gets close enough, and not being able to go to Japan, is great to have a taste of great soft ice cream near home.
Very cute window for ice cream take out! Highly recommend: matcha and original with chocolate. Not too sweet! Creamy but not too rich. Perfect balance! The portion is large, so quite worth the price!
The best ice cream in Seattle. Hands down. I can’t go back to Molly Moon after having tasted this. The ice cream is perfect - not too sweet, not too heavy…the mochi is fresh and of highest quality. Too bad they don’t sell pints you can take home with
This place has been on my wishlist for a while now. The line goes fast as they’re efficient workers. Stuck with the swirl with no toppings and it was perfect. The creaminess was so much different if you really savor it as the cream/milk is imported from Hokkaido. And happy to say it looks like they’re expanding their place!
Great ice cream! I recommend the Hokkaido Milk with mochi and red bean powder. A cup is nice to split among two! :
Had a regular sized soft serve of a swirl flavor with Hokkaido cream and hojicha. Also got toppings with brown sugar syrup, mochi, and kinako. The flavor of the soft serve was very subtle, the hojicha was slightly stronger in flavor and tasted a bit of tea. I wish there was more kinako powder, and I don’t really think the brown sugar syrup was necessary? The mochi would freeze a little with the ice cream, so it gave it a nice chew and texture. Person working at the window was very friendly, and I think people were a little confused finding the location because it states it’s inside Yoroshiku, but it’s next to it.
This ice cream is good but nowhere near the hype or to wait in line for. It's subtle soft serve flavors are but nothing special. Really the best part of the whole product was the mochi that is served with it.
I was truly surprised by the blue colored cone - So cool! The ice cream in itself didn’t feel super sweet - which is awesome. We tried the Kuromitsu Kinako syrup - Mochi, Brown Sugar and Roasted Soybean Powder. Even the syrup didn’t add as much sweetness as the cone did and hence, a perfect dessert.
