I love the food here, and their naan is fantastic. I used to have lunch here frequently before covid, unfortunately they had to stop offering the buffet at lunch time – but they still have a good deal for lunch, I encourage you to support them. This is a clearly family owned and operated venue, service is kind and friendly.
Do not recommend ordering from here. We ordered 1 app, 2 mains, and 1 dessert from here. The app, chicken tikka, seemed old and was dry with lemon, green pepper and onion pieces tossed in dry spices. The mains used the same base sauce. Extremely oily and unnecessary amount of spices. The dessert itself was slightly off/bitter. PS: The pics look way better than how the food tasted…
We had a great feast!! We ordered for a group of 15 people and everyone loved the food! Great flavour and value!!
I have been an occasional individual customer and have enjoyed the food very much. However, when it was my turn to organize our office lunch for 150 people in a nearby tech company, I was very impressed with the quality and amount of the food. The restaurant worked closely with me to round-out a menu beyond what I had originally requested. Having catered many lunches, dinners and events, their advice was very helpful to avoid disappointment among my co-workers. In the end, we had a diverse menu of meat including halal and vegetarian options that fed the office for two days that met our per person and total budget! Many colleagues approached me in person and via email to remark on the quality of the dishes, so I was sure to tell everyone who provided the food. When it's my turn to order lunch again, whether a small group or as many as 150 people, I will be sure to consider Indian Punjabi Clay Oven again because no one will be disappointed! Vegetarian options: Obviously, there are many vegetarian options from which to choose or variations of meals made without any meat. Dietary restrictions: According to the restaurant, the meat chicken is halal by default, unless otherwise requested.
I ordered two butter chicken and asked for rice got home an hour later no rice. When I called to inquire the customer service was something less than desirable. Haven’t even tried the food to make a comment but I hope the cook is better than the person who answered the phone. The lady who processed the order was absolutely sweet. For $50 for two butter chicken and absolutely no sides while a local restaurant that is more known is $20 per meal with rice and salad. Guess maybe I will venture a bit more. Sad because if the girl on the phone was more understanding I might have returned.
One of my favourite restaurants in Ottawa. Their lamb and butter chicken are absolutely fantastic! Went there at least once a week before Covid. Very sad to learn today that they are taking a hard hit after Covid and not doing buffet anymore because there are often less than 10 customers per day. I would definitely recommend this restaurant - they totally deserve to be one of the busiest restaurants in the area!
This was our 6th or 7th visit here and we’ve never been remotely disappointed. The staff are warm friendly people who serve up the most authentic Indian cuisine in the city. We’ve ordered from all corners of the menu, and everything always comes out delicious and piping hot. You’d be hard pressed to find such depth of flavors anywhere else. 10/10 must try.
Quality food, best Indian food in Ottawa. Owned and run by a humble family. They remembered me and my friends and always customized the food and experience for us. Overall great service. Highly recommended !
This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Ottawa. Great selection of meat, seafood and vegetarian. I've dined here many times over the years and I've never left disappointed. Whether it is dinner or the lunch buffet which hopefully returns at some point, when safe. My favourite dishes are the Onion Bhaji, Veggie Pakora, Shrimp Curry and Paneer Masala. This is a family run restaurant and the staff are always super friendly and helpful with the menu, ensuring the proper amount is ordered and the spice level is appropriate. Highly recommend and can't wait for my next visit!
Every dish here is amazing - so flavourful and generous portions. When I ask for mild they ask Canadian mild or Indian mild which makes me laugh but also I love - when I'm sharing with the kids I go Canadian mild and it's perfect - still very flavourful and a hint of spice but great for young kids who aren't used to spicy foods. We order here often and it's always a great experience.
