This restaurant is a favorite of ours and we are very happy to have the lunch buffet reopened.
Below average and highly Americanized Indian food. Good for Minnesotans who think salt and pepper are ‘spices’. I should have figured as I saw no Indians eating here. But we were hungry and it’s ‘ok’ food.
Highly recommend! The restaurant has the best mango lassi and garlic naan. The woman who took our orders always greeted us with a smile.
Have loved this place for many years! I've never had a substandard meal here. Always great, always fresh, always quality. Being a Midwest boy, I can't speak to the authenticity, but I can speak to the consistency. Very good. Buffet is a great way to start if unfamiliar with Indian cuisine.
Indian food is my all time favorite, so I’m partial to giving high reviews here. That said, I love having a walkable Indian spot here in Lowertown. We ordered take-out and got Chicken Tikka Masala, a smattering of appetizers-the pakora is great, mango lassi, and all the naan. We had a little feast in the studio and love how the colors photograph so well. Good looking and good tasting! Lastly, I have to mention how friendly the woman that helped us is. She’s great.
On our way home, we stopped in to pick up dinner. Staff was delightful. She gave us time & was right there when we were ready to order. Wait for food was very reasonable, and the food was delicious.Food: 4/5
If you are looking for authentic Biryani and Naan, then this place is your first choice. They have varieties of food. They are good. Taste good. Service is good. Small, nice and clean place.
Good food, though like most Indian cuisine it is rich and spice-laden. They have all the classics and if you're in Rochester looking for traditional Indian cuisine, this is the best and a very good option. Service is excellent, the buffet was well stocked and we never ran out of beverages. My only negative is that the facility itself is starting to get a bit run-down looking. It's clean, so that's not an issue, but it could use some updates once the restaurant economy is back on its feet a bit after the pandemic. I give them a pass for now because I realize the current situation. Vegetarian options: Great selection of options, even on the lunch buffet. Parking: Surface lot available, but it is a bit awkward to get in and out of some spaces.
The Resturant has a big verity of indian foods , we ordered the butter chicken masala and the lamb masala and the chicken tandori , they also provide plain white rice for free , the masala is ridiculously good and delicious with the rice and with the nan bread , we had also a hot sauce in the side with samosa and both were very good , the place and the dining in general were lovely , definitely going back again .
The food is always beautifully presented. I absolutely love the fresh, flavorful food no matter what I order. The servings are enough for two to three people or I've had enough leftover for another whole meal. It heats up perfectly and taste as good as day one. I totally recommend this place for your Indian food, and the owners are lovely people.
