2.5 stars. The eggs benedict were heavy and unappetizing. The potatoes were undercooked, still raw in the middle. The egg was poached perfectly, but the hollandaise sauce was way too heavy, and it was also split. I couldn't finish it, just too heavy and greasy. Other items looked good, so maybe they just had an off day.
My goodness, this place is crazy on Saturday morning! The servers were working as hard as I've seen a crew work. It took awhile to get my coffee but it was totally understandable and the coffee was good when I got it. The food looks very good - how about offering some vegan treats? Kid-friendliness: I had a four year old with me and we saw multiple babies in high chairs. No problem for families here.
Delicious food, coffee is quite good. Friendly service even though we were there not long before closing and we never felt rushed. We luckily got out of there before they closed, but it was really nice we never felt like they were trying to rush us out of there. I know it must suck when people come in right before closing but they are just amazing there. Will return again and again. Just try and be polite and come earlier in the day
The best food in ladysmith! They are busy so it can take some time, but it’s easily worth it. The best beef dip I’ve had in my life. Quality ingredients cooked well. I would say their weak point is the drinks; the drinks aren’t terrible but they are outshone by the bakery and the wild poppy.
i love the beantime so much, the food is amazing, but the service could use some work. the one young brunette cashier is pretty cranky; and consistently cranky lol. everything you ask her comes with a sigh and a bit of an attitude and it makes you feel pretty uncomfortable while you’re getting a morning coffee. i’ve chatted with friends who have said the same thing. hope it gets better for the company’s sake.
Busy little place, with rather slow service. Decent sized servings of coffee and detailed Menu of light foods, oriented around breakfast. RecommendedFood: 3/5
Quickly stopped by this place on our way to Vic! The coffee was tasty and the grilled panini was super nice too! The store was clean and well decorated. The social distance measures are in place which makes us feel safe inside .
Friendly service, great sandwich, cozy café, my only suggestion would be to use more matcha in lattes and Frappuccinos.Food: 5/5
Get the clubhouse! The food is excellent quality and the staff was nice. This place is poppin' so make sure you give yourself enough time for a wait in the lineup... twas worth it. Also, the comfy couch area is giving off mad Central Perk vibes!
