they have prepared my tax for 2 years with different senior expert. always there is some errors in their work . I had to verify all information again and ask and pay an other expert to confirm that they work was correct and I haven't problem with CRA. very poor service too expensive

Took them my taxes to discuss having Canadian and US taxes done. First they said they would end up charging about $800 to do both sets of taxes, then told me they would have someone call me the next day before any work was done. Nobody called me. I called and said I would come back in and pick up my paperwork because we were going to take the taxes elsewhere. When I went back in the following Monday to get the papers, they said my documents had been forwarded to their production office and they had already started work on my taxes...despite not having half the documents they needed and despite telling me they weren't going to work on them until after they spoke to me. Now they are telling me I have to pay them anyway for the work they did. Uh...no. Nope. Nada. Don't go here unless your taxes are very very simple, and don't trust them to do what they say they will do.

EDIT: Impots Ici went through efforts to correct mistakes made in the filing. My review remains negative as the experience as a whole was quite stressful and took an exhorbitant amount of time. My gf and I called ahead of time to get an approximation of how much it would cost to do a joint Canadian return and a single US return. It was around $150 *total* for the two Canadian returns, which was to include a First Time Home Buyer credit and my gf's maternity leave & child credit. The US return was supposed to be an extra $245, which hurts but seemed to be on par with what other tax preparers were also charging. We were told additional forms for either return would be in the $10-20 range, which is a complete scam to get you in the door. The reality is for the Canadian return with the extra forms (foreign rental income & work expenses, plus some other minor stuff) the total came out to $550! The worst part of it all... I filled the forms myself, all they had to do was file my work. I was charged $80-90 EACH for the foreign rental income (1 page document) and the expenses (2 page document). Again, I filled the forms and they charged the money. Then, when I went for the joke of a consultation, I was handed the bill which we were initially told over the phone was to be $150. A second update to the bill was to be in the range of $300 after they reviewed our documents. The actual bill was $550... not including our US return. They insisted on being paid before I received my filing documents. For both US & Canadian taxes you, the individual, are liable for your return, not the preparer. How am I supposed to pay an exhorbitant amount of money BEFORE being able to review their work? Normally, If you purchase a good or service, you receive said product and then pay. It goes for just about every industry without exception. Not these guys, they want their money first then you get your filing to check for a proper return and/or mistakes, that you will be held liable for.

This is the sketchiest place I've ever been to. I dropped my taxes off over a month ago and they made me pay an $80 minimum plus "$10 + tax" for filing for the first time and another $10 + tax to see an accountant who just went over the numbers that I could've read myself. Finally, it was $114 after taxes so I could file three small T4s and I got only $120 back in returns to begin with. So basically they took everything from me. They're a huge scam and I would NEVER recommend these incompetent idiots to anyone.
