I came here for supper with family on a Tuesday night, and I was pleasantly surprised. There are lots of vegan entrées. We had the seaweed salad, spicy edamame and crispy spring rolls, which we all enjoyed. We all had the miso ramen: it was savoury and satisfying and came with a very generous heap of noodles. The employee was kind and attentive, and our meal was ready quickly. The prices are fair. The restaurant itself is small with limited seating, and it has a cozy, unpretentious vibe. Best of all, it's cat-themed! There are paw-shaped mittens on the wooden spoons, cat banners hanging on all the walls, and little cat figurines peeking out from every nook and cranny. The employee even let us pick some cat stickers to take home with us! It really is all in the details! Vegetarian options: Miso ramen!
This is what Verdun needed considering the rise of ramen popularity. They have a simple menu, which makes their service super fast. I think they’re trying to mimic the Japanese ramen style where efficiency is key: cooks, waiter, people. However the people in Quebec aren’t that efficient, they love to sit 30 minutes after meals to chat. So it doesn’t matter how fast the service is; the patrons are still gonna sit there after their meals. So if you see the restaurant full, consider waiting because it’s definitely worth it. They’re still waiting on their alcohol license from the government, again, another part of Quebec that’s not efficient. I think the place will need a bigger venue if they get their licence! Vegetarian options: Two veg options, one spicy one not. Good broth!
This place is a gem. It's hands down the best ramen in Montreal. And believe me, I've eaten ramen in Japan, in the States in Italy and been to all the chains in and around here. The owner is extremely kind, I heard him give soup and meat samples to the other table to see if they accept the spiciness, I've never seen that before. They have a simple, straight to the point menu, we sat down, ordered karage chicken, one tonkotsu, one black garlic and they all came out within 5 minutes. That's faster than a McDonald's meal. The meat was a nice thick cut, 3 pieces vs other places 2 and was cooked to perfection, the soup was delicious and not over salted. It's a solid 3/3 experience for me. My only comment, maybe just a half spoon more of soup, I had a lot of noodles but the soup was gone really fast. Small place, but if you're tired of overpaying for a mediocre bowl of ramen in the big chains at downtown Montreal, this place is definitely worth it.
Very delicious ramen! I liked the place and the service was super friendly. The take out was very well packaged and the broth was very tasty. Great portion too!Food: 5/5
Finally! A ramen spot in Verdun!!! They have a simple, but very delicious menu to choose your meal from. The black garlic ramen was very good from the broth to the noodles as well as the toppings. We took karaage on the side, the chicken was very tender, the batter was crispy and the sauce tasted amazing!Food: 5/5
Wonderful atmosphere at this humble ramen spot. Service was friendly and quick. The Tonkatsu was delicious and reasonably priced. Karaage was the perfect side dish. Not much seating but adds to the intimacyRecommended dishes
If you're looking for a ramen restaurant in Verdun, this is the one. The place is very japanese style, minimalist. You get a delicious bowl of ramen, black garlic is my favorite. Noodles are very nice quality, pork slice are generous. Highly recommended Food: 4/5
Cute little gem ! So happy a ramen place finally opened in Verdun. Got the spicy vegetarian soup and it was great. Thr tofu is amazing. Only thing is I would of liked more broth, there was very little. My sister took the black Garlic and she had more broth, and hers came with an egg I had to pay extra 2$ ! The serverthe owner, I think ? was very nice !! Overall loved it and will go back !
Showed up during lunch time in the snow, it gave me a Bride vs ORen boss fight feel. Like a lot of businesses on Wellington Street, it's an H shaped place with foggy windows. It's tiny, with 3 small tables and a few stools by the window. Very simple, Japanese style decor. Nice menu, with typical Japanese appetizers and of course ramen. I tried the potato hash browns and the Uchiha ramen, which basically has everything in it. The hash browns were both crunchy and fluffy, and the homemade spicy mayo was nice. The ramen was excellent. Noodles were cooked perfectly, the chasu was tasty with the right amount of fat, the ground pork was deceptively spicy, the broth also well balanced. Service was friendly and efficient, prices and portions good. A very welcome addition to my hood! Parking: Easy parking meter parking on Wellington, if you're willing to walk a few minutes parking is free in the avenues.
Good ramen, plenty of different toppings and very good broth. The size is good for the price. I took the black garlic ramen, which came just below 20$ with tx. My go-to when I want to eat ramen and I'm in Verdun. Vegetarian options: Miso tofu
