The worst service provider ever. Nobody calls you to follow up on your service request and when we call them we always get an answer like...." Sorry .. it might not be until next week" Our company has been with them for longer than 10 -12 years . I guess it is time to move one. I would not recommend it to any other business which uses their equipment on a daily basis.
I am appalled at the terrible sales process related to a copier return at end of lease. Since leasing a large full multifunction copier years ago, I have never once heard back from Ricoh. While techinical service has been responsive, the back office is terrible. No relationship management, no contact with multiple changes in the sales department - our account manager was unknown. No wonder we recently changed to Canon. After waiting and following up for weeks requesting payment information to get final payout details, we are still waiting for the copier return instructions after payment. We don't even have our account managers contact information - just an email - to which she doesn't respond. As a former corporate national procurement executive for a Fortune 100 company, and responsible for ongoing leases of hundreds of similar copier units, I have never seen such poor sales response to an active account that is in good standing. I would not recommend RICOH in Vancouver.
5 years ago when we started our company we unfortunately signed a 5 year lease with Ricoh for a large multipurpose copier. At the end of this lease we were moving offices and needed to return the copier back to Ricoh. After countless emails and calls to Ricoh, we had to make an appearance at their Burnaby office to try and get in contact with anyone who would respond to us. We've had emails of sales reps over the years that we were leased with them, one or two responses here and there and then find out that they were no longer with the company. We were never updated to when sales reps got replaced, and never got any straight answers from any of the people that we were in contact with. The machine that we leased was not suitable for our office, they leased to us a copier that was intended for large scale printing, and at that time as a start up company didn't make sense. At the end of our lease the automatic copier counts that we got billed for had ridiculous numbers, resulting in us owing them a few thousand dollars. And we can confirm that the numbers do not make sense as our company does not print in large volumes. After a months long battle trying to get in contact with someone to return the copier and getting the run around to go through our leasing company we are rid of Ricoh. At our new office we signed a new lease with Columbia Business Systems. They go above and beyond for us and we're MUCH happier with our new copier. I do not recommend using Ricoh and HIGHLY recommend going through Columbia Business Systems instead.
I have gone through 2 job interviews at Ricoh and it looks like its moving forward. Fingers crossed. Regardless of if I get hired or not, I am leaving this review to let people know that I have never met such positive, genuine and awesome people in any other company. Keep up the good culture of positivity Ricoh. Ricoh will keep flourishing and beat all competition because of their customer-centric approach and amazing company culture.
This company has horrible after purchase service, overcharging and just generally not caring...there is no accountability. Save your hard earned money and look elsewhere.
