Big parking lot with food court and snack bar. Quite spacious and clean. Quite busy in the weekend but nice and quiet during the week days non peak hours. Always find new products and get you to spend some money. Recommended
This IKEA location is massive, and while it might feel a bit overwhelming for some, the entire setup is impressively well-organized. The staff are friendly, approachable, and always ready to assist if you need directions or product information. One of the conveniences I truly appreciate is the ample parking space available, along with a dedicated loading zone where you can easily pull up your vehicle and load your purchases without hassle.nnThe store opens at 10 AM, and from the moment you step in, the experience flows smoothly from one section to the next. It’s not my first time visiting IKEA, but every visit leaves me admiring how seamlessly the different departments — from home décor to kitchen essentials — blend into one another in a carefully planned, intuitive layout. There’s a certain finesse in how they manage to guide you through the store, offering inspiration at every turn.nnThe in-store restaurant is another highlight. It’s decently sized, and the food consistently tastes good — perfect for a quick break before continuing your shopping journey. Additionally, the delivery services are quite reasonable, with rates of $19 within Calgary and $99 for deliveries outside the city, offering flexibility depending on your needs.nnAnother feature worth mentioning is their ‘As-Is’ section, where you can find gently used or display items at significantly reduced prices. It’s a great spot to score a bargain if you don’t mind a minor scratch or two.nnOverall, it’s a place I’d highly recommend — not just for shopping, but for the entire experience. Whether you’re furnishing a new space or just picking up a few essentials, there’s a certain quality and thoughtful finesse to how everything is arranged and managed here. It’s the kind of place where, even if you didn’t plan on buying much, you’ll likely walk out with something useful and a pleasant experience to go along with it.
I have an IKEA bathroom, and I'm loving it. Our cashier was so patient, helpful, and friendly. I returned some items, and that was challenging, but I made out okay. I recommend shopping at IKEA, I'll have to try and find a day that isn't quite so busy next time because the high volume of shoppers is overwhelming.
I’ve been coming to this Ikea for over 10 years and have never had an experience like we did today.nnFirst of all, the wait time for returns was ridiculous. We arrived at 1:30 PM on a Thursday, and the expected wait time was 30–40 minutes. We decided to get food while we waited, but the food area was closed. After waiting 30 minutes, the screen said our wait would be another 5–10 minutes. We ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes before finally leaving.nnThen, at the self-checkout, there were five staff members nearby, but not one offered assistance when an error occurred. After waiting for a minute, I had to go over and ask for help. To top it off, we were randomly selected for a scan verification to confirm all items were scanned. While I understand the necessity, it took several more minutes—and again, we had to find a staff member to assist.nnFinally, one of the items I purchased wasn’t available in the self-serve warehouse section. We were told a staff member would retrieve it and we’d be given a number to collect it after payment. We were told it would take 5–10 minutes, but we ended up waiting 20 minutes.nExtremely un-impressed with the blatant disregard for customers time.
IKEA Calgary offers a comprehensive shopping experience for furniture and home accessories. This was my 1st visit to the showroom and I was positively overwhelmed at the options available at my disposal. The store displays various room setups, making it easier for customers to envision how items might look in their own homes. The Store focuses on functionality, affordability, and modern aesthetics from the viewpoint of customers.nNavigating the store can be overwhelming due to its size, but helpful signage and staff assistance is available. The warehouse section facilitates convenient self-service, although wait times at the checkout can occasionally be long, during peak hours. However, efficient assembly instructions and affordable delivery options mitigate some of these obstacles.nOverall, IKEA Calgary offers a diverse selection of well-designed products at competitive prices, making it a go-to destination for furnishing homes on a budget. Pocket friendliness has been taken into consideration and this can be viewed by a visit to the store.
