The new renovations really improved the customer experience when shopping. Still missing some places that needs to be finished like the main entrance on Beaubien street, the floor, and the back entrance where the shopping carts are now, the finishings are also missing. But at the end they're just details. In general I think is really nice.
Lazy people working in the bakery section. They would rather stay and chat between themselves instead of stocking and making sure fresh baked goods are ready. In the morning there's no chance to get anything fresh. You have to settle for days old croissants for example. For the overprices products IGA is charging, you'd expect better service at least. And God forbid to have at least two cashiers open in the early mornings. Wait in line because why not, while you see the other cashier is just wondering through the store.nnTried to purchase chicken and guess what? No fresh chicken, just old packaged one that are on special: No thanks! Badly managed store through and through.
This is the best IGA shop ever! Their prices are a bit higher than other supermarkets, BUT: where else could i get buck wheat flower huh? And what's more: their deals with, for instance, Beck's beer are the best! And stocking up my favourite yogurt, did not ever emptynthem out! Yeah, I love this place!
Even in renovation, you can do your groceries. There's parking in the back of the store. The prices are reasonable, the produce is good. A good place to buy local.
Went to return 2 cases of beer + empty soft drinks. The cashier gave me change for 1 case +empty cans. When I let her know that it was 2 cases she said that she gave me the money. I mentioned to look at the bill that she had at hand. She gave me the difference, did not excuse herself. She looked at me like I was a crook or thief.nI continued on with my shopping. Did not have the products I wanted. Just got 6 items. Went to pay. I saw the girl going from 1 register to another trying to help?her colleagues. Assistant manager? .nCalled the manager of the store. Explained the situation -seemed to think that this was a joke!nOutcome LOST CUSTOMER.nThe picture is the person that served me?????
