I loved my time on the boat. The staff is nice and very friendly - Glen was so informative and fun! This is my second time doing this boat tour. Too late in the season for whales, puffins or icebergs but the scenery is breathtaking and the stories about the island and wildlife is super informative. We did see some bald eagles, which was fantastic! I would do this trip again in a heartbeat!
Enjoyed every minute of the time on the boat cruise. We were entertained by the crew which included a live musician on the afternoon cruise. The scenery is breathtaking and the stories about the wildlife informative. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat!
Great crew really friendly and fun. No whales as wrong time of the year but we saw sun fish and a bald Eagle. A lovely experience well worth doing whilst in St Johns.
AMAZING! Had a great afternoon tour. Too late in the season for icebergs but the whales put on a show for us. Lots of breaching and fin waves from several humpbacks. The crew is entertaining and engaging. They worked hard to make sure everyone got great views. Glen was just terrific working the crowd. Arthur O'Brien serenading everyone with some local tunes, extra impressive to be able to do it through the rocking of the boat. Even some on board screech ins. Something I will remember forever. Thank you all, I definitely recommend!
Very nice and friendly staff for this tour. They brief you to ensure your safe and let you enjoy the sights of the coast. On my tour end of May we unfortunately saw no pudding, whales or iceberg but the ride by the coast and seeing cape spears from the ocean was fun!
Loved it! As a St. John's local, I really enjoyed this tour. It allowed me to see it from a new angle. Made me fall in love with this city all over again <3
All the crew were wonderful!! No whales but we saw a large sunfish and a couple of Bald eagles… and though he kept a low profile, Sting was on board with us!!! Getting schreeched in was fun too!!
We had a fantastic day on the water with Iceberg Quest tours, viewing about a dozen whales on a spectacularly sunny day. I loved the bit of history of the area at the beginning of the tour. The tour boat driver was respectful of the whales, making sure to drive very slowly when we were in the vicinity of any whales. The driver was not like other operators I have seen chase down the whales in a way that seems like harassment. The other staff also provided additional information about the whales as we were watching, which was interesting, and they were always pointing out all of the whales that could be seen around us. My only complaint, which is just my own personal preference, was the music played on the way out to where we saw whales. I loved being out on the water when we were on route for the peace and beauty of the ocean, so playing music was not for me. Overall, our family absolutely loved our tour and highly recommend Iceberg Quest whale tours.
Dream come true seeing an iceberg with Iceberg Quest! Captain Chris and crew were informative, safe, and fun! An extra shout out to crew mate Jamie for his care and assistance with my Mom who has mobility challenges. Thanks guys!
It's a good ride, but don't get your hopes up for whales or puffins. It's not a guarantee and there is no discount for next ride if there were no whales. A bit too expensive.
