I went to the one at eaton center. They don’t post their rate. I should have known that it’s going to be a shady deal I ask the woman there for the rate don’t trust that fat woman she is a shark the official rate for 1$ US is 1.35 for CD$ she tells me 1.40 that’s today March 23. not honest she is a fat shark That where your business will go down . Don’t trust this company
Really to expensive. For 500$ US it costed me 785$ CA with ICE. My friend went his bank, it costed him 691$ CA... Go with your bank, way more cheaper
The star rating of this place is overstated because of all the fake five-star reviews from 2 years ago. All you need to see is the reviewers that have one or two reviews under their profile. Most of them are fake. As most of the legitimate reviews indicate, this is a 1-star operation. They do not publicize their fees on the big screen, instead they will surprise you with the fees at the window after you wait in line. Make no mistake, despite what they will tell you, their fee is 15%. It is factored into their exchange rate which they claim to be the going market rate. When showing the clerk the actual rate on my phone she proceeded to tell me that Google was wrong. Advice to management... We understand the need to charge for convenience, just don't be shady about it. Post your fees up front and don't try to deceive your customers.
This online customer service is super helpful. It'll be my first time in Canada and receiving answers from their customer service even before coming to Canada makes me feel reassured. Now I know the trip will be relaxed for me, I won't have to think about stressful matters such as where and how to exchange currencies.
I have couple of issues. First is that ICE is not charging current exchange rate, but actually add an extra 10% to the currrent exchange rate, on top of their usual fees. Today by example, March 16th 2016, the US exchange rate is at 36.5% I just called my bank to confirm and ICE was trying to sell US dollars to me at 46.5% plus brokage fees of 5$. Second issue is the employees not looking too too ager to work. I showed up at the Montreal airport YUL ICE booth on the secure side and the employee was there at 12:40 pm but the CLOSED sign was up saying "back at 13:15". I asked him of there was anything he could do but he said that he was closing and that the next employee was going to be in at 13:15. I waited in the area and observed him standing and looking around waiting for his replacement to show up for over 15 minutes. The replacement showed up at exactly 13:15 and I approached to see if she could help. I was surprised to see that she was actually the "Back at" clock to 14:00 pm !! When questionned she replied that she needed time to count .... Just havibg a hard time finding this professional. WAY better off purchasing your currency at your bank, please do. Thank you
