I had my road test with Marita, and she was very professional throughout the entire process. She clearly explained all the instructions before the test started and continued giving clear, calm directions during the drive. This made me feel comfortable and confident. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I’m happy to say I passed. Thank you, Marita!
The road test process itself was okay, but my experience with the examiner was disappointing. She was unfriendly and her behavior came across as biased toward brown people, which made the test feel uncomfortable and unfair. ICBC should ensure all examiners treat applicants with respect and without prejudice.
My daughter had her N test booked here yesterday, and just wanted to give an awesome shout out to this licencing office.nOffice was calm and inviting and not the often crazy bustle of ICBC offices.nExaminer SD was so relaxed and reassuring for our daughter and all through her test he communicated well and enabled her to remain relaxed and focused. She passed!!!nThanks to examiner and this office for a great experience. I know it is sometimes a thankless job...so thank you!
Everyone at this location is good, except for one white woman in her 60s who seemed a little discriminatory. It felt like she was just waiting for a way to fail any brown student during the road test. At the beginning, she was very rude while communicating, and later she kept looking for problems with the car, even though it was brand new and properly maintained.nMy friend took his test, and she pointed out only minor issues, like saying he didn’t use his signals, and failed him. It looked completely like racism toward people of different nations or different skin colours. I have been to ICBC six times, and it makes me feel that “equality” is just a word, not something real when we stand in front of individuals who judge by colour.nWhile my friend was giving the test, a Sikh tutor even told me, “Your friend will fail, because the ICBC examiner is totally racist.” Please change this behaviour— we are all human, created by God, and it is not our fault where we come from or what colour our skin is.
