Save your money and time and don’t support illegal and racist establishments. Status cards are an acceptable form of identification issued by the government and since you don’t recognize this I would highly recommend having all your staff and yourself retake your serving it right, because what you’re doing it incredibly wrong.
They have a sign on their door saying they do not allow government issued status cards as I.D. For a small-town racist restaurant they do not deserve business.
The food was good, but with the prawn dishes they don't shuck the shells off. Our friend had to dig in his prawn curry dish to get the shells off. We ordered deep fried prawns at $22 and they were battered with the shell on, we didn't eat them and said our concern and didn't offer to take it off the tab. The service was meteoker, I don't usually post reviews but it was pretty disappointing. They should at least put it on the menu that the shells are on.
The Quarter deck Pub Ever herd the expression a whole in the wall! This is a must try for Asian cuisine! I took my buisness partner there and we were shocked on how great the food was! So good we went again our last buisness trip!
Discriminates against indigenous people, does not accept government-issued IDs
I ordered Singapore noodles and Kung Po Chicken, which I have had in many places in Canada and Asia. The noodles here were not fine rice noodles but course Chinese egg noodles. Singapore noodles are mostly shrimp. This was NOT. Mostly cabbage with beef and few small shrimp in this fishing port. Flavour was peppery chow main at best with some cashews. Kung Po chicken NOT but only another peppery chow mein again dominated by cabbage! Not ever again.
Had takeout. Got wonton soup, chicken wings, sui mai and spring rolls. Spring rolls were good. Sui mai was ok. Chicken wings were good. Wonton soup lacked flavor. Pricing ok.
We are local and gave this place a couple tries. The food seems reheated, too expensive and unfortunately the prawn dish was battered and deep fried with the shells on. Won’t be back.
Unfortunately I can not recommend patronizing this pub, they need a bit of a refresher on what constitutes acceptable ID for liquor service in British Columbia.
Ate at Quarterdeck Pub tonight. Server Marty was super kind and an excellent server. Very attentive. Food was amazing the honey black pepper wings were delicious! A must get item!!!
