Lovely place for people aged 20-30. Had a blast the other night as the service is exceptional. The music and sound throughout the bar was very loud and some of our guests to leave early. The Guinness is delicious, the best in the city
Really busy on a Sat night. Great atmosphere - wish you could hear music on other side of the room. Drinks were good, food sucked. Come for a drink, stay for the vibe and music.
Great space, great live music and staff were lovely. Food is not good. $13 for 4 tiny chicken goujans.. Would definitely go back again but not for food!
Very cool cozy bar guineass was good . I was very disappointed with the food however soup was like water and had no taste and brisket bap was like a steak sandwich. fries were undercooked.I had to wait a long time for the soup to arrive hopefully it was a one off because I really like the set up
We went to Hynes on a Friday evening. My wife who happens to be Irish wanted to go and spend time at an Irish restaurant. When we arrived there were a few tables available as the place was already getting full. The vibe was loud with groups of Irish people young and old already with a few pints in them. It reminded us of pubs in Temple bar in Dublin. The different Irish accents at high decibels could not make me have a conversation with my wife. She was in front of me and I could hardly hear her. The food menu is limited and we ordered a few items from the happy hour menu as well as a few pints. The food was okay for pub food. Nothing memorable. The pints were good and we enjoyed every gulp. But after a while the place became too loud for us to handle and we left. We will come back and try it again to see if a different time will make a difference. Hopefully the noise will be less but I doubt it. The Hynes as a good Irish feel and I recommend it for a few pints.
Aaron is an absolute joy. Worth coming to Hynes just to meet him alone. The rest of the staff are great drinks and food are unreal too. A must visit in Vancouver.
Been a couple times now and felt I needed to share a review, which is not something I usually do for places. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect to hang out in and enjoy a meal with family. Very quickly becoming our local spot to frequent, and I recommend everyone give them a try! Staff were very friendly as well.
Some good people, a really neat design and a fun place. Some of the management and patrons are organized, in the way that they will pick your pockets or go through the contents of your jacket or bag. There is a camera on the wall but, when you get robbed or pickpocketed and ask to see the video to recover your lost items, you will be asked to leave and not return. Hopefully they have a better manager and management or, maybe this lad just had a bad day. Either way, I expect an apology and explanation from you.
I was only there for a private function in a separate room from 4pm to 6pm so, I did not attend the bar or see a regular menu. But the bar was pretty full though.Food: 4/5
A proper Irish pub. So happy to finally have a fresh local pub in the neighbourhood. The vibe is ideal, the crowd is young, and Sunday roast is beyond. Come Friday and Sunday for live music!Food: 5/5
