Nice small pool for neighborhood. Parking lot Trees Way over grown. Falling debris on cars, watch out. Can't park below them so parking here sucks. Especially if it's raining. The large lady at the reception was rude, or just miserable that day, shame. My grandsons lifeguard swimming instructor Emily is Amazing!!!
They keep the lowest standard of services here compared to other community facilities IMO, or at least one female staff working at the front desk was, very rude. Explained my bad experience in every details to a nice lady who was the supervisor, she tried to understand me which was good but then I was told “she was doing her job ”, which is not convincing and comforting, at all!nYeah yes, you guys can always refer to so called “house rule”or system limits as an excuse. But, what really matters is the attitude and mindset, if you don’t want to serve the community, just quit and find another job where you can bossy around.
Pool facilities cater both to children and adults. There is a standard 25 meter length pool with slow/medium/fast lanes for anyone wanting to do lengths. For children, there is a large irregular shaped pool with warmer water, featuring a lazy river section and some water features that are periodically turned on. One creates a large circular pattern of falling water while another features an elevated bucket that fills, then dumps its water on anyone underneath. The kids pool has an assortment of toys, such as balls and floats. There is a separate small shallow pool for parents and toddlers, a hot whirlpool holding about 15 people, a steam room, and sauna. Finally there is a tubular twisty water slide which when I was there was only opened for a few minutes every hour or so. It is pretty tame and suitable for small children if they can get over their fear of the entry. Pool lockers require a loonie to use and give you a key on a wristband. You get back your loonie when you open the locker. Staff at the front desk are good about supplying change if needed.
Usually I love coming here to relax in the hot tubs. Today however, I was greeted with a rude lady at the front desk. She seemed miserable to be there. She gave attitude and made it seem like it was a big deal I didnt have a account. She then snapped at me for asking if it was ok to go in the pool if we dont have an account. I ended up leaving as I didn't like the attitude or rude glares or being yelled at. It made me feel quite uncomfortable and unwelcome. Maybe hire some folks that welcome patrons with a smile and are more friendly to deal with and a positive attitude?
I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a community gym before. I was working out in a normal sports bra and pants totally standard gym clothing when a manager came up to me in the middle of my workout and told me I had to “cover up.” When I asked to see the written policy, she admitted there isn’t one and that this “new rule” is just being passed around verbally.nnI honestly left feeling so confused. How are people supposed to follow rules that aren’t written anywhere? And why is swimwear like bikinis acceptable in the pool area, but an actual sports bra meant for fitness is somehow inappropriate in the gym? It makes no sense.nnIf the facility wants to enforce a dress code, they should have it clearly posted instead of surprising and humiliating people during their workout. I expected better communication and better treatment from staff.nnReally disappointed.
