I recently stayed at this hotel and would say it was overall decent, but not particularly memorable. The location was convenient and the staff were friendly, which made check-in smooth and hassle-free. The room was clean and comfortable, but nothing stood out — just the basics done right.nnSome areas could use improvement. The amenities felt a bit dated, and soundproofing wasn’t great, so it was hard to relax at times. Breakfast was average — not bad, but nothing I’d rave about.nnIt’s a solid option if you’re looking for a straightforward stay without any frills. Good for a night or two, but if you’re after a more refined or luxurious experience, you might want to look elsewhere.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and approachable. The pool and hot tub were very full in the evening aprox 40 people, but completely empty in the morning when I went to do laps. The hotel was very quiet probably cause all the kids were tired from playing in the pool . All in all, a very good experience.
One star only because zero stars is not an option.nnI had an extremely disappointing stay at Hyatt Place Edmonton-West. On August 19, 2025, I requested an extra blanket four times, including once in person during dinner, because the room was too cold and my children couldn’t sleep. I was assured it would arrive within 30 minutes, but it never did. My child had to fall asleep without it, and I had to turn up the heat just to cope.nnThe bed was also in very poor condition, so uncomfortable that it left me with back pain. I had originally booked for two nights, but due to the poor service and lack of basic comfort, I was forced to check out early. Despite this, I was still charged a penalty for early departure, which I find extremely unfair given that the hotel failed to deliver even the most basic service.nnThis was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I do not recommend this property to families or to anyone expecting reliable service.
The Hyatt Place in Edmonton was a great place to stay at a pretty good price. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and you get a free breakfast which was amazing. There were fruits, sausages or bacon, waffles or French toast, potatoes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, fruit juices, coffee, tea and it was all delicious. The only problem is that the water pressure in the sink and shower was low, and it was really difficult to change the modes on the shower. The location isn't in a very walkable area, but it is a quick drive to West Edmonton Mall which is why we stayed here. This is the first Hyatt Place I've stayed at, and I would definitely stay at one again.
I recently stayed at the Hyatt NW expecting the quality and comfort typically associated with the Hyatt brand — unfortunately, what we experienced was far from it.nnWe booked a Kitchenette King Suite, but there was absolutely nothing complimentary provided. No bottled water, no basic kitchen items like pots or pans, and not even standard bathroom essentials such as shower caps or makeup remover wipes. The room lacked any sense of warmth or ambience — it was dark, dusty, and poorly maintained.nnThe overall experience felt more like staying at a budget motel or roadside inn rather than a reputable Hyatt property. What was even more disappointing was the management and service. The property seems to be run by a group that does not prioritize guest experience or uphold Hyatt’s standards.nnThis is not the Hyatt guests expect or deserve. I sincerely hope Hyatt reevaluates who is managing this location before more loyal customers are left disappointed.
