Nice place to set off into the river. Good amount of shade. Good amount of long parking spots for trailers/boats/etc. Not likely a place a young kid will be excited about on its own. Decent distance off the main roadway for safety and noise and yet still close enough to be convenient.
This is just a small roadside Park but a great place if you just need to stop between Corvallis and albany. It has picnic tables, restrooms, and a great view of the river. It also contains a small boat ramp if you are launching any medium to small size boat. No fee to enter. There are a number of picnic tables that would be great for a summer picnic and to pass the time.
We love coming here. Peaceful, serene, and beautiful. We like to come here and pick up trash, use our metal detector, and just take in nature. This is a fabulous spot to picnic, put the boat in, or just go for a walk.
Hyak county park is a well maintained park just off of highway 20, there is a boat ramp and you can also hang out by the water and wade in the water a bit. If you are going to swim make sure to be careful cause there is a current. The park is a good place to go for a float down the river. The parking lot is a decent size and also has truck with boat trailer parking spots, restrooms, picnic benches and I believe they have those bbq pit things

Neat little park....has some history. Be careful in the winter. Lots of downed trees
I love this place, especially when floating/kayaking/paddling the river. Pro tip: put in at Willamette Park and get out here = perfect river experience. There's even a dock and boat ramp. Bring sunscreen, as there isn't much coverage while on the river, and expect it to take anywhere from 5 - 8 hours, depending on water flow and whether or not you have a paddle.
I love my river and I utilize hyal park boat ramp often for drop off and pick ups on my floats. It has nice picnic area, bathrooms and beautiful scenery and tranquility
Awesome spot less people than other parks if that's your preference.
This is a place I go to for some quiet time. Sometimes theres people there but most of the time there is not. I enjoy being able to get down to the water and have a decent view of the sunset. The water there is calm and relaxing to the eyes and ears.
