The service here was OK the staff seemed to be friendly. As for the food that was another story ordered my eggs over easy they all came hard potatoes bacon-and-eggs all tasted the same. Was very disappointed I used to like husky house maybe it was just an off day I will give it another chance in the future to be fair. But as it stands service is not enough to uphold a restaurant's food that should be your number one concern and it didn't taste.
This restaurant is probably one of the best places to eat in Strathmore. I had the special the last two times and have no complaints. Hubby loves the clubhouse! You make awesome pie and your beef soup is the best!! Good value and fantastic service! Cheers and five stars.
So, I want to shoutout our server Maddie, they were doing the utmost to make sure every guest was served as promptly as they could. At first I was put off by the rushed walk-by attempt at a drink order however, after watching the situation for a while... Handling multiple guests as the ONLY server on staff is a feat and a half. Especially when multiple guests had made complaints about the food,dealing with spills and cleaning up from prior guests. The only concern that this gives me, is I don't recall hearing or seeing our server wash their hands between messes, mopping, handling floor mats and helping customers. While I understand the rush, that is still a hygiene concern. Which leads me to the reason for the review. Husky House has good food, and decent coffee however this locations kitchen staff are either; uncaring, unprepared or have checked out entirely. The food was mediocre at best, and took an hour to even arrive, when it did it was lukewarm at most. For our servers sake. I hope that management and the kitchen staff can get things together. They're very clearly dealing with an understanding issue , and a lake of care or pride. This is a huge shift in service from this location previously. I have been here for multiple occasions including my birthday. If this level of service continues, I don't think we'll be returning.
Breakfast is awesome. Both quality and price. We usually get the special that includes coffee. Kids prices are cheap but good size and quality. Service is casual and friendly which is very nice. Ive gone there in the afternoon/evenibg for dinner and didnt care for their fish. It was a bit tasteless and watery, so we stick to breakfasts. Very clean and spacious dining area aswell. Bathrooms are in the attatched gas station and are clean with lots of services for truck drivers. Overall great place.
Having a few employees that paint for me we work hard & build an appetite. We also like to take a break and have a seat some times. This is the place for that! Endless coffee or pop, delicious home cooked meals, that are uber filling. Staff that makes you feel like you really are home for lunch
One is the lowest rank I can give. I didn't eat there. Didn't have a chance to eat there. So why the low ranking? Because the sign outside says open 24 hours and they were closed. When we opened the door the server said they were closed. This is a truck stop and on the Trans Canada Highway. It should be open 24 hours. That's why the low ranking.
Delicious food and good priced. Food was cooked to order and quickly. Dessert was great too. Nice people and good atmosphere. Have to show proof of vaccine.
We come here for breakfast every Sunday. Can’t beat the $8.99 special. Very Friendly service, fast, good coffee. What else does one need on a Sunday morning?
I'm not a fan of Husky's coffee, but I love their breakfast and the great service in Strathmore. It is where my friends and I get together before tackling a weekend project.
