Huntsville Marine And Recreation

I have had two very negative experiences here. My first experience involved a broken pull chord on an outboard motor. It took them a month to fix it and when I got it home it broke on the 3rd pull. I ordered parts on a separate occasion though Huntsville Marine. One of the parts was faulty when I tested it, when I returned the part I was charged for a new part, was charged the shipping to return the old part AND the new part. The part didn't arrive for 3 weeks and I was told that they would "do something for me". Apparently the "doing something for me" entailed giving me the number of their supplier and dealing with it myself. Nice. If you have ANY other option, choose it.

Poor customer service. Booked a boat for a day, unfortunately the weather was poor but we decided to try enjoy ourselves. 45 minutes in it started pouring with rain so we returned the boat. I inquired whether we could be charged for a half day rather than a full day since we used the boat for less than an hour. The answer was a very unsympathetic NO. While I understand this is their policy, it does not seem like any way to get repeat business. It does also not explain the unfriendly customer service and the response that there "is nothing they can do". There certainly is something they can do as it is a policy which they choose to implement. We were also given the very worst boat on a day when we were the only ones going out on the lake. I will try somewhere else next time we are in Huntsville.

Bought a pontoon boat from John Howard. I have had an amazing summer fishing and tubing with the kids, the staff at Huntsville marine have done a great job thus far, they also offer a service where they winterize and store the boat for me so it is worry-free. I look forward to many more years of boating fun thanks to John and Huntsville Marine.

Purchased used boat from John the salesman. Great service. Could not do enough to please us. Service dept. excellent. Would definitely purchase from Huntsville Marina again.

Boat hire was a great day out with the family. Nearly new boat ran faultlessly. Comfortable and fast enough to get round all the lakes.
