I was left a little confused about the toast situation. Apparently there are two levels of floppy toast, light soggy toast and burnt soggy toast, neither one I liked. I couldn't figure out how they did that, burn the toast and still leave it flaccid. Then it came to me they freeze the bread first, can't imagine why you would want to freeze it first but there you go. My girlfriend had floppy soggy waffles, if we wanted eggos we could have got them at the bigway and microwave them ourselves. The only silver lining of this disappointing breakfast was we didn't get food poisoning.
It was AWESOME, couldn't of asked for a better waitress, the food was just as we expected, delicious. Dessert was great, lemon pie of course. We live in airdrie so a last valintines supper was in order. Sad to hear of its closing.
Love coming here. We drive the extra distance to come to this location versus the calgary locations, Due to the fact that the Service is so much better than constantly check in on you to make sure your food is tasting great and that your drinks are full. I will always recommend that someone come to this restaurant over any if the calgary locations.
First let me start by saying I've been to this humpties several times and plan on continuing to come here in the future. I love the little drive out to it. It's not to far from airdrie. Every time I've been here, I've received very pleasant service and fast service from the kitchen. I have no complaints about the food but I do recommend getting the breakfast items as that seems to offer the most value for your money. Last time I got chicken fingers and fries and it was delicious but I felt a little pricey for what i got.
Usually have the smaller portion turkey dinner which is good overall and plenty to eat . Love their coleslaw and garlic roasted potatoes . Coffee was okay my last visit as long as it was fresh. Service is good and food usually comes out in good time but have never been there when it was really busy. The decor and ambiance is pleasant . The 20% discount for 55 plus on Tuesdays is nice. Miss the music on the satellite radio that they used to have . Wash rooms could be cleaner but it is on the highway after all . Otherwise quite a good place to eat and priced reasonably .
The best service and there closing soon will miss them, always stop on the way back from Calgary. Take care to all staff stay safe and healthy thanks again.
Usually a good place to stop for a quick bite to eat along hwy 2, but today the service was slow and my breakfast order was wrong. The waitress did make an adjustment to our bill. We'll continue to stop here on occasion and we will just confirm our order with the waitress in the future.
Service was really bad. Maybe 5 tables of people. Server cleaned off a table before she brought our drinks. We were really thirsty from biking. My food was like warm. Never came back to see how how food was. Made a mistake on receipt, didn't have the common courtesy to tell us where the correction was. When we came back in to the restaurant, she explained what she did and was sorry about It!!!
Just the right distance from Calgary to stop for a bite to eat if traffic is too heavy or you just want to fill the gas tank and have a snack or a meal before continuing North to Edmonton, Red Deer or other destinations. All day breakfast or your choice of other meals on the menu. Nice, friendly staff too.
Friendly service, food is always decent for a good price. The perogies and cabbage rolls are my favorite. I would suggest avoiding the scotch eggs, they aren't traditional and not well done but everything else I've tried has been really good.
