Very beautifully tended gardens with the most varieties of lilacs I've ever seen. The staff were all really nice. The pricing extremely reasonable. There are lawn chairs set up in a park situation making it a very relaxing visit. Unfortunately the main gift shop wasn't open but they had a variety of potted Lilac plants in excellent condition available for purchase. Plenty of free parking.
What a beautiful garden! I hadn't been there since I was a child and I couldn't remember it very well. It was much prettier than what I remembered, and there were so many lovely plants in addition to the lilacs of course and very well maintained grounds. They even had cute purple chairs placed around which made for a cute photo op. It was a really nice outing, and I definitely plan to go visit again next year!
It is a very nice garden. There are many lilac varieties to admire, and purchase. There's a gift shop which was closed on our visit due to Covid, but they had gifts for purchase outside. The house was also closed due to Covid on our visit, but I am sure there's a lot to see. It was however, a bit too crowded for my taste, and there were many lilac bushes that were damaged by the late snow, so they had to cut them, which made the garden look not at its best. We will probably come back in a couple of years, hopefully it will recover, and we will be able to see the house. We did purchase two lilac plants, and I am looking forward for them to thrive in our garden. If you like lilacs, this place is very much worth the visit.
Visited during Lilac days. It is a quite mature garden that is very easy to navigate. It had been wet the week before we visited, but things were not too muddy.
Annual tradition with my mom, my aunt, daughter and now grandson. We look forward to the lilac festival every year. The blooms were just opening on our trip this year but did not disappoint. My 2yr old grandson loved the open spaces while we loved the beautiful chairs blessing us with sunshine. I love seeing the Boy Scouts every years helping up with the plants we purchase with big friendly smiles on their faces. Every year I buy at least one lilac I did not already have and I have quite a few.
It is very beneficial garden and I highly recommend to check it out.
Lilacs were in full bloom in the spring, early may. $5.00 admission is worth it! Lush gardens and picturesque views!
Pretty place. $5 entry fee to support the garden. Worth it and more! Short viewing window as the blooms come and go quickly.
Stopped by this lovely garden yesterday. Beautiful flowers, great volunteers, and I limited myself to buy only two new lilac varieties.
Can't get anyone to return a phone call. I have called during business hours of 10-4 as mentioned on their web site. Have left a message every time I have called with a return phone number. 5 days now and no return phone call. Not sure how people like that do business. I am from out of town and need some further info on peak bloom time, and a few other questions.
