Hugo Taco

Easiest 5-star I have ever given!!! I have been going to this food truck every week since it’s opened and can say they have the best tacos in all of Ottawa. All my friends who I have brought here absolutely love the tacos and the addictive hot sauces. I highly recommend ordering the barbacoa taco with cheese.Food: 5/5

Best tacos in Ottawa so far! The flavours are bursting out of these things. I couldn't help myself but to order two more after I already had three and their chips and guacamole. Everything is gluten free not sure about the chorizo and even the vegano taco is just as good as the meat tacos. Service is fast and the tacos are hot. The mild, hot, and chili sauces are delicious and addictive.

Came and tried the Asada, chorizo, and Al pastor tacos. All of the tacos were good. Everything was made fresh to order, the corn tortillas were fantastic. My favorite were the Al pastor, they were really nice and smoky and the sweetness of pineapple helped balance it out nicely. The chorizo was second favorite, very nicely spiced and seasoned. The Asada were also good, but definitely needed salsa which I hadn't added but was available, so that's on me. Overall, great quick food, would recommend.

Food: one of the few Authentic soft shell Mexican taco places in Ottawa. Worth a try if you’re around the place. Atmosphere: it’s food truck. Service: amazing! Time: pretty fast, it’s cooked on a flat grill and it can churn out tacos pretty fast.

These are easily some of the best tacos I’ve had in ottawa! I would give this place and all the other Hugo establishments 5 stars if it weren’t for the weird and uncomfortable interaction I had with one of their staff today. I went to use the bathroom inside of the Hugo bakery after I ordered my tacos. I went inside and asked the cashier where the bathroom was and she pointed it out no problem. Everyone thing was fine until I left the bathroom and one of the staff was clearly waiting for me to finish. She then proceeded to interrogate me for what I purchased at the cafe and when I told her I got tacos, she got upset telling me that the bathroom isn’t allowed for taco customers. I wasn’t really sure what to do at that point since the damage was already done and I couldn’t reverse it. I explained to her that the cashier directed me to the bathroom and didn’t stop me but she continued to tell me angrily how I couldn’t do it again. It was such an odd and really uncomfortable interaction as she was waiting outside the bathroom door for me. It wasn’t a big deal and she could’ve told me nicely or there should be a sign, but the fact that she was so aggressive was weird. It’s unfortunate since I love all three of their establishments so much but I’m not sure if I’m interested in going back at the moment. Vegetarian options: Veggie tacos

I started chatting with the cook in Spanish. I wanted chicken and the other person there was rude and said no chicken. So I left. And she laughed at me while I was leaving. Good way to run a business I guess. The store down the street sells chicken, just to let you know. Will likely never go back.Food: 4/5
