Excellent food here and the service was really good.

My daughter contacted me and said they were having a burlesque show. Let's go. Long story short we had a party of 8. I have eaten in every type of eatery known to man. From dives to Tavern On The Green. I must say the meal was FANTASTIC!!! The wait time for the meal was a little lengthy but well worth the wait. Everything was perpaired to perfection. The staff was very attentive. One last note, the bill, all I can say is I have paid more for dinner for me and my wife than the total for the eight of us. which included drinks If you should find yourself in Albany and you real enjoy steak and seafood you will not be disappointed.

The restaurant is a short walk from our hotel. It had good ratings, and the only eatery within walking distance. Food was good, not great. Service by waiter was good, it took a long time to receive our meal. The hostess forgot to return our credit card to pay the check and we waited a while before we asked them to process our payment. The restaurant is tired, old, not really kept up in the dining area. Menu was quite limited - and quite pricey for the venue.

100% fantastic food! Dont listen to the other few bad reviews.....I have been comming here with my daughter for 6 year.... I have never had a bad meal here EVER! There was one occasion when a couple of my scallops we're not cooked all the way and I had to send it back and they made me a complete brand new order. The food is unbelievable and you are going to wait a little bit for your food because everything is made to order. This is not like going into Applebee's or something and your food comes out in 10 minutes.The Reef and Beef is phenomenal!

We were a party of 7 adults and 2 children. We were the only ones in there and the service was sub par at best. It took over 2 and a half hours to complete our meal and half the meals that we ordered were missing components because they were out. Got food poisoning from the scallops and will never go back.

I went for the first time during Albany restaurant week. The food was only ok. The servings were very small, in fact if you put the slices of chocolate cake together for the 3 people in my party, you still didn't get a normal slice. Was very disappointed. Will not eat there again.

I would never go back to this place EVER!! Out dated and old. Average food at best. Not even close to the prices they are charging. I ate half my food only because I was starving. Told the owner when we were leaving that we were unhappy and her answer was you could have ordered something for else..... Yeah that’s ok no thanks.

After reading reviews, our expectations weren't very high. We won a $50 gift certificate and that's what brought us in, older reviews were way off base. Definitely will return. Three of us for dinner. Atmosphere was classy and reserved. Service was prompt and friendly. We split two appetizers, shrimp cocktail and clams casino, Tough to mess up shrimp cocktail, it was fine, clams casino, best we've ever had, just enough breading, very crispy bacon, not soggy at all. Two orders of Manhattan clam chowder and 1 French onion soup. Chowder was delicious and thick like a stew, no skimping on the 'goods',just exceptional. My entree was Harbor Delight and consisted of clams, shrimp, scallops, mussels and king crab with linguine. The seafood was cooked perfectly, and there was lots of it, and just the right amount of pasta. Not one of those dishes were you have to comb the pasta for the seafood. Dinner mates had Coquille St. Jacques, served in an innovative crab shaped plate and a broiled lobster tail, with seafood mashed potatoes mmm, I had to have a taste!. Portions were generous and very tasty/fresh. Dessert was a chocolate cream pie and wonderful vanilla ice cream ball...the name escapes me now, but it was filled with cherries and rolled in oreo cookie crumbs. My only disappointment was the limited wine list. We were there to celebrate a birthday and not in any hurry as this was our activity for the evening. We weren't rushed, the waiter was very personable and overall we had a fantastic evening. For three, including 20% tip, the bill came to $230.00 about what we expected. Highly recommend.

I found this place randomly while traveling for work a year ago. We got there a few minutes before they opened but they let us in and sat us early. Everyone was so nice and the steak was one of the best meals I've ever had.

An amazing place. History come to life in front of your eyes. Very discreet. They should get rid of that stale smell though.
