Impressive grounds built right on the Milwaukee River. An ambiance full of warmth and hospitality that makes you feel at home. An array of items on the menu, heated domes for small parties to dine in. A fish fry that is a must try. Three businesses in one area. Host your events here and impress. Ask them about their other businesses in the Milwaukee area. A top class establishment.
My family had a wonderful evening inside one of the geodesic domes set up outside Hubbard Park Lodge last night. Our server, Ashley, was fantastic. Drinks and food were delicious. Steak, chicken, ribs, salmon -- all excellent. Sides -- garlic mashed, spinach, beans -- tasty. Thanks so much.
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hubbard Park Lodge last year. The venue was amazing and the wedding was everything that we could have hoped for and more. The staff went above and beyond to meet our expectations, even though the venue was probably at its maximum capacity for the number of guests. The food was incredible and several of our guests commented it was the best food that they ever had at a wedding. Even more had commented it was the nicest wedding they had ever been to!
What a wonderful place to come upon while on a walk along the river.. was visiting milwaukee for the weekend and i was super happy to stumble upon this lovely beer garden in the middle of the woods. Plenty of places to sit. Huge beer glasses. What more could you want. Its a 5 dollar deposit for the big glass.. Return the chip n get your 5bucks back or trade the chip and a 15 dollar difference to keep it. We brought one home.
Like walking into a stereotype of Wisconsin in the best way. You've got to meander though the woods, but you're greeted with a warm atmosphere, red checkered flannels, and a one-man polka band. Old fashions were great, fish find fantastic in both fried and baked varieties, and the servers were lovely.Food: 5/5
We enjoyed the Sunday brunch. The made to order omelettes or scrambled eggs offered many ingredients including salmon, bacon, tomatoes, peppers, multiple cheeses, onion and were prepared well. The carved turkey and ham were tender. The mustard and cranberry sauces complemented the meats well. Potato options included vegetable and cubed roasted and cheddar hash browns. Sausage was tasty and bacon was perfectly cooked. Chicken and waffles was really crispy and cinnamony. We shared an order for a taste between 4 adults and would get them again. Pancakes were average. The French toast with apple topping was amazing! Fruits and vegetables were very fresh. Plates were cleared quickly, but soft drink refills were never offered. I enjoyed my adult coffee beverage tight sweater I think it was called. My husband said his bloody Mary was ok. We intend to go back again.
Service was very good. In my party of 4 there were no complaints about the food. We had tenderloin, elk steak and walleye fish. Quality, quantity and value were very pleasing.
Finally came here for Brunch and I'm sad I didn't do this sooner! Set price for a buffet and the food was delicious. May have been the best ham I've ever had in my life haha. Came here around 9:45 am which seemed like a pretty good time. It was packed by the time we left around 10:30 am. Staff was also super nice and friendly. We'll definitely be coming back again!
Sometimes the food here isn’t as good as other times. But when it’s on, it’s on. It’s rare to have a long wait for a table at this hidden little gem of a place. It’s also rare to walk away disappointed. Pretty decent old fashions, at a very reasonable price. But the real beauty is everything else about this place. The history of the building, the park, setting along the river, the beer garden outside, it all, adds up to a lot more than what you see at first glance. Plus, where else do you get to walk through a tunnel to get to dinner? And it’s right on the bike trail! Plus it’s a fantastic event venue. Though I may be biased in this regard.
Great experience revisiting an old favorite. Our server Greta was attentive and fun. After starting off with classic old fashioned, we had troup dip and cheese curds. Entrees were fish fry and balckened salmon. Great music by the warmth of the fire place.
