First time to this restaurant. Friend of mine said this dish is good. I would of enjoyed it if they allowed dining in. Even with covid restrictions regarding dining in has been lifted.. this restaurant will only do take out.
Whenever I’m in Vaughan, I have to stop by Hong Phat. They make the best hu tieu nam vang Pnomh Penh style noodles which is a Vietnamese style Cambodian noodle soup. I also always have to order the pork kidney soup on the side. If you like offals and you are an adventurous eater, this is for you. The pork kidney js cooked perfectly, and has the best texture. But a must must, is order their hu tieu. I find that is their best dish.
The pho dac biet tasted delicious with a hot and deep flavoured broth. The portions are quite big too. I tasted the other soups in the photos and they were really good too. Appreciated the big salted pork bone in soup for the dry noodles.
Food was good, meat tasty on the rice dish, pho had the perfect ratio between soup and noodles but lost lost one star because I wasn't offered dry noodles and made me use my debit card verses credit when my bill was $28.
Love this place, the broth is amazing, the meat portions are massive. My go to choice is the large stewed beef! I also like that they cook the bean sprouts a bit so it doesn't cool down your broth.
Good, would have preferred thicker rice noodle, also spring rolls were just okay. Otherwise very good and tasty. Great customer service.
HOLY SMOKES!!! This is the most authentic Vietnamese cuisine you can get in the area. The owner told me that this restaurant only uses the daily fresh cow bones to prepare the broth and it takes least 6 hours of cooking! This is the best soup for cold weather. I personally prefer the "House Special Pho" because I could get a bit of everything including their beef balls which I think are homemade because of the juicy taste! I usually order the coconut juice and it's really good for summer days. I haven't even talked about their spring rolls yet, they are so crunchy when you eat them fresh, and by the time I got home, we didn't even have any left we ordered 2 servings!!!
Best Vietnamese food in town. I have been a regular since 2017 and it is really sad to see good restaurants went through these hard times and not able to stay afloat after they have tried everything. Best of luck to the owners.
Had a horrible experience trying this place for the first time. I can confirm that the service is good, and the portion size is generous, no doubt about that. I ordered the the pho tai bo vien P04, bun thit nuong cha gio B01, and the bun bo hue. The pho's broth was darker than typical pho and tasted full of fish sauce. The bun bo hue was not spicy and was lacking traditional flavours. The bun thit nuong was mediocre and little meat. The quality of the food is questionable. Both my husband and I developed stomachaches and diarrhea a few hours after eating which continued all through the night into the next morning. We had the bun thit nuong and bun bo hue. My two boys had the pho and they seemed fine. The only thing we ate differently from my boys, were the vegetables/herbs that come with the dishes. Perhaps it was not washed properly or had been contaminated, who knows. Our previous meal before this was at Casa Deluze - we eat here all the time and it was 6.5 hours before we at Hong Phat, so I know the food poisoning came from Hong Phat. I will not be ordering here again or will I recommend this place.
This is as good as the most authentic Vietnamese cuisine you can get. The aroma of the broth will make you feel there are multiple layers of flavors! The server said the owner of the restaurant only uses the daily fresh cow bones to prepare the both, it is at least 6 hours of cooking! This is the best soup for cold weather. The selected-grade of beef are used as toppings. Special recommendation for Nam Vang Style rice noodle soup Pork and Shrimp on rice noodles in the broth.
