I trust and have trusted my life and my children's life with Lyndsay Howard for 11 years now and she has always came through. I am a Male with full custody of my 11 year old daughter. We were able to win full custody in a long trial when I was only 21 years old. Since then we have updated the court order several times and Lyndsay has been awesome each time. She is a pit bull with lock jaw when you need her to be and she can play nice and negotiate when it's best for the child interest. My daughters case was a child endangerment case so playing nice wasn't an option. However I have a 3 year old son and my relationship with his mother just didn't work but we have to work together for my sons best interests so sitting down and coming to agreements and compromising was the best option for my son and moving forward with his mother. Lyndsay was able to help me negotiate 60/40 joint custody where I have my son 60% of the time. Yeah that's right a man in Minnesota has full custody of his daughter and 60/40 custody of his son. Sounds unheard of in this state doesn't it?! With Lyndsay you are in great hands! My only advice is to be as organized as possible which is you helping yourself. My father and Aunt also used Lyndsay for their divorces as well and they received exactly what they asked for in their negotiations.

Had a long, drawn out divorce that was going nowhere with another attorney so I reached out to Lyndsay to get an opinion on things. Within 5 minutes of talking to her I knew I had to switch. She got things done for me and shot it to me straight. I appreciate what she did for me a lot because I can tend to be hardheaded at times and she wouldn't hesitate to get me focused on what the alternatives could be. I read these same reviews when I was shopping around and there is a reason she is rated so well. I'd give her a 6th star if I could!

Lyndsay fought and she won SOLE PHYSICAL AND LEGAL CUSTODY of my son for me. Lyndsay Howard took my case when several other attorneys represented me and said "There is nothing we can do." She was completely upfront, and brutally honest with me about my case, my options and my chances. She literally saved my son's life. Thank you Lyndsay.

I did not choose to hire Lyndsay because of monetary reasons, however I felt very confident that she was the right person for the job. I felt more confident leaving her office after her free consultation than I did after paying a Craigslist lawyer a $1000 retainer and meeting with them. Very professional, I feel I would have gotten the results I wanted had I been able to afford Lyndsay to represent me. She knows what she is talking about and provides realistic expectations.

No one enjoys paying lawyer fees. No one enjoys getting divorced or fighting for custody. But if you have to do those things, I highly recommend Lyndsay. Executive summary: down-to-earth, very responsive and even proactive, realistic about what you can achieve, strategic about how to do it, careful about billing. Background: I did not use Lyndsay on my actual divorce. Wish I had. I think it would have wrapped up in half the time instead of the almost two years that it took (international avoidance of service, tedious negotiations...). I discovered Lyndsay the same way you are -- through Google reviews -- when I was needing help with custody issues. Down-to-earth. Lyndsay is very good at explaining in everyday terms what the law will and will not do, what your options are, etc. You might say, "Hey, I'm a smart guy, I can understand lawyer-speak as well as any lawyer." Yes, you could, if you spent all the time needed to digest the terms of art. That's what I had with my first lawyer. Huge waste of my time. Much better just to have a real conversation and make the lawyer do the translating work. Very responsive and even proactive. That Lyndsay is responsive no one can deny. She usually answers emails same day -- sometimes within hours or minutes. Just as importantly, when she answers it's not "I have received your message and will think about it and get back to you." More often it's "Here's what our options are and what I think we should do." She is also strikes a good balance in proactiveness. You don't want your lawyer just running the whole show without reviewing things with you. That would run the danger of having them say things you don't want said. For me, Lyndsay was a mind-reader in terms of responding directly to the other lawyer when she knew what I would want to say, but then consulting with me first before responding to more nuanced issues. Realistic about what you can achieve. There were many times that Lyndsay could have led me down a road of further litigation, but she advised me in each case that it would probably get me nothing and cost a lot of money. I believe she was right and respect this approach. As a non-lawyer, it's very easy for me to be misled about the law, to file a lawsuit and run up all sorts of bills in a dead-end case. It's nice to feel that your lawyer is not trying to do that to you. Strategic about objectives. You're just going to have to trust me on this one. Too long and too many details to explain. Careful about billing. You're really at your lawyer's mercy when it comes to billing. Did it take her five minutes to respond to that email, or half an hour? It's a big price difference! As I look through her bills, I've never felt gouged. Things seem to take about as long as I (also a consultant who tracks his hours) would expect them to take.
