Houck Pharmacy, Mason City, IA, was established in 1957 and was the first compounding pharmacy in North Central Iowa.

Story

Our pharmacists are University of Iowa and Drake University College of Pharmacy trained as well as members in good standing of the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists and the National Community Pharmacists Association. Houck Pharmacy is dedicated to medical problem solving and is schooled in natural clinical nutrients through participation in continuing education symposiums. Houck Pharmacy has comprehensive laboratory facilities and exclusively uses USP and FDA chemicals backed by certificates of analysis.

Top notch people at this pharmacy! They are very helpful and pleasant. What was most impressive, however, was that they kept the store open an hour past closing time, just for me. On my most recent visit, I had locked my keys in my car and a storm was brewing outside. They didn't want me to wait outside, so they stayed open so that I could have a safe, dry place to wait for the mechanic. Super nice people with BIG HEARTS!

Specialty vitamins are available here. These are prepared on-site and made to order. If your doctor can dream it up, Houck can prepare it. The staff is very friendly and will explain what the medications and health products do and how they react with other medications and vitamins
