Hotaru Sushi

Sushi was alright. I only eat vegetarian so I have limited options. They're spicy shrimp sushi is good. I didn't like the yam one. The shrimp tempura is nice and the fried rice with eggs is nice. I also tried the dragon roll one shrimp, avocado which was fine. We had free water and green te to drink. Our kids were being too noisy and they didn't seem to like it. The female waitress didn't smile and wasn't friendly. But there was a young male waitress that was very friendly and accomodating. Their dessert was limited: just rice pudding and few ice cream flavours. No fried banana or other options. No small candy at the end too either after you finish. If you want a child-friendly place, don't come here. Their customer service could be improved as well as their menu to provide more options. I did love their mango salad though - probably the best thing you have to try it! The sauce is awesome. It was alright but I don't think I'll come back.

Food was great and very tasty. Had a variety from the all you can eat option and liked all but one. A bit pricey for what it is but excellent and fast service. We sat outside which does not seem to be too popular although weather was great and the atmosphere very cosy. Dessert was yummy!

Bad service, ok sushi, decent prices. Offers all u can or a la carte. We ordered a la carte, chicken and salmon bento box, white tuna roll, crispy crab roll. Had to ask waitresses 3 times for water. Refills came once. Neither hot and sour soup nor miso soup good. Bento box was mediocre. Rolls were feeble. Would not recommend.

One of the more decent sushi options in the area. Interesting interior design, good service, AYCE price within reason. And, of course, good sushi! Some of the folks may not hold the shape, but that doesn't detract from their taste. Deep fried calamari and scallops we're fantastic too.

AYCE but still very high quality sushi. Tempura could be a bit crispier but excellent experience overall. Dinner selection was extensive as well as dessert. I was happy with the service also. Server spoke Mandarin and English.

This is probably the worst sushi place I have ever been to, and I have been to a lot of them. First off it's quite pricey st 27$ a person for all you can eat dinner... a bit more than most places for food significantly worse. Most of their food is bland and flavourless even more so than most AYCE places. But that'd be forgiveable but bad. What puts it over the top is they had the nerve to serve us burnt skewers of chicken and beef... clearly black, not a bit charred but entirely burnt. Anyone serving this could look and think oh wait we ruined that... but they just brought it out anyways expecting us to eat it. Even though this was bad it wasn't the worst. The worst was the sashimi... almost every piece had cartilage in it that you couldn't chew through... I've never gotten sashimi with cartilage that was frankly inedible. Absolutely horrid!! Will not return ever.

I ordered Salmon Oshizushi and Eel Oshizushi, and instead, I got 16 blocks of rice, covered with thin slices of fish. I protested the fact that they didn't look the same as advertised and that it is not what I ordered! But they still made me pay for it! Food took too long. Staff so rude. Don't come here if you want to enjoy a meal!

I've been to several sushi dinners and this is by far the best... The waitresses are very kind and polite. The atmosphere is simply amazing, and the music is great. You don't even feel like you're waiting for too long because the visuals inside keep you busy even if you go alone.

The food tastes amazing and there's a wide variety. Ordering from tablet computers is very simple and convenient. The decor is absolutely amazing! Bring a friend or more and enjoy your experience here even if you don't order the sushi or seafood.

Went for lunch, I liked the food. The lunch price was on par with other local sushi restaurants. The sushi was okay, the non sushi items were better. My favourite dish were the beef short ribs which were marinated very nicely. Service was good that day too.
