I had two breakfast here with our customer during a business trip in Canada. The first time i tried a cup of yogurt with fresh fruit and was good, but the second time i got a dish with eggs and hollandaise sauce that honestly was simply amazing. Was super big, in-fact later i had no lunch, but for me was an unique experience! Last but not least the service was super lovely and fast….I’m in love with this place….SUPER!!
Everything about this cozy family run breakfast and lunch place was great. The price, the staff the food. We were a pretty large groups with kids and everyone were served quickly and enjoyed their morning!.Food: 5/5
Dined here for breakfast recently and it was very good! It was a Sunday morning around 1130am and the place is so big we didn’t have to wait for a table. We ordered coffees, I ordered the Greek style skillet and my friend ordered the Jr. Lumberjack. The skillet was very flavourable and came with really good hasbrowns and amazing rye toast. I would for sure come back.
Very good breakfast with nice Benedict and avocado toast. Also the French toast was unexpectedly very delicious! Recommend will def come back! I took a little for the food to arrive but was very good.Food: 5/5
Super homey restaurant but taking a star off because it's an older establishment and was a bit run down, washrooms could use a refresh. Everything else was amazing. Our server was kind, cheery, friendly. Food was delicious. Fish and chips were so yummy. Batter wasn't the thick and doughy kind. Apple and cinnamon pancakes are a must, so funny! Great for sharing because they're the size of a face.
I ordered the "upgraded" chocolate pancakes for a side. I never recieved actual chocolate pancakes but instead a minimal amount of chocolate chips sprinkled everywhere but on the pancake. Without even being made aware I was charged $3.75 EXTRA for this upgrade!!! It's been very clear Hot Stacks has been going downhill with quality lately. Their takeout is quick but there are long wait times when you dine in as well as being very expensive. I supported this local restaurant before but I'm going to Toast from now on.
If you love big portions and good prices with small town good feels this is the place. We love it here especially the souvlaki plate.. huge portions always and never disappointed ever. Breakfast meals are equally large and delicious. The two ladies that are usually here are always friendly and nice. We love when we get Shauny I think that's her name She's always bubbly and the memory she has is incredible Place is small hometown vibe, clean and spacious. The washroom is a little dated but I don't come for the washrooms It's in the bsmt, small, it's clean so if you come here to complain about everything but the food make sure you get that sorted out and just come to eat, enjoy the atmosphere and your company Parking: There's lots and if not there's street parking I believe but we've never had that problem even on their busiest days
My favourite is the waffles with berries and whipped cream, just like the pics someone posted. I order real maple syrup with it and the quality of this dish is unbeatable. Also served to the table was a plate of pancakes with bananas and berries, also excellent. We have met here 3 times in the past year and we both order the same things each time. Just cannot get better anywhere else. Just a note: Real maple syrup is a Canadian tradition, nothing compares to it. Service was fast and we were not hurried out after we finished. Decompressed. We will be back, again, and again...
We visited on a Sunday. It was busy, normal I think, . Large group was seated quickly but ended being almost 2 hours from sitting to leaving. Waitress was great and food was awesome . Price about same as everywhere now but lots of food. Think maybe kitchen was the hold up. Be prepared to sit if busy .Food: 5/5
This was our first time at Hot Stacks. We were greeted right away and our wait for 7 people 3 adults, 4 kids was only 1 minute. The prices are very fair and the portions were big, especially for the kids. We have 4 hungry boys so the big portions at a moderate price was amazing. The service was friendly and great. The food was hot and cooked perfect, including my poached medium eggs, which most restaurants overcook. The coffee was great. The washrooms were clean but had a pungent sewer smell. This is most likely because it is on a septic system, but at least they were very clean. Definitely recommend this place for a great breakfast, and worth the road trip if you are far!
