This is the best bakery I have been to in BC and better than many bakeries I went to in France. Rossland should consider itself lucky to have such a gem.nnEverything I have tried here has been fantastic. My only minor complaint is about the crumb of the baguettes which is not quite right, not airy enough in my opinion. However, the flavour is so good that I cannot bring myself to give this place anything other than the 5 stars it deserves.
I try to schedule trips to Rossland around when Hoopers is open. Even when I try to stick to a few things, I always take away more. The scones and all the croissants are favourites. As is the foccacia, sourdough and olive and rosemary baguettes. Okay really everything. But today I had the Earl Grey Croissant for the first time. It doesn't get any better than that. Wow! What a pure treat that was. Taking away from here is like a little trip to Europe.
Rossland, you are spoiled having this bakery in town! Such lovely treats and delicious bread. Never imagined I could find European flair in such small ski town but I am so glad I did!
