Came to watch my niece play in a tournament, interesting place to say this least…good basketball atmosphere.nA lot of kids shooting around when no games on the court…my daughter who is in a wheelchair and plays wheelchair basketball joined in, first on the rubber courts then on the wooden courts.nShe was initially kicked off the rubber courts with the reasoning being the wheels will wreck the rubber. Fair enough.nShe then started playing on the wooden court and was again immediately kicked off…first reason was you can’t have wheelchair on the court. ??????nUhmmmm…anyone heard of wheelchair basketball?nI approached the office to find out why the disabled girl was being singled out?!?!nSeveral excuses later, the gentleman in the office said she didn’t pay to play….well, I know the other kids on the court with her also didn’t pay to play 4 of them were my nephews and nieces.nnI just can’t understand why you would take a few minutes of fun away from a girl in a wheelchair.nnShame.nnOh, go back to watching your tv show in the office…make sure to stick your head out again when you see another wheelchair.
sketchy area, dark hallway, flickering lights, yellow and brown hand and footprints in the eating area, can’t find entrance, violent racist barking dog, curly headed glasses staff women disrespectful to minors, no restaurants nearby, scam vending machines paid 3 times did not get drink and ice cream doesn’t look like advertized , not inclusive to short people, terrible service, smells terrible including the dog, 1 hour walk from subway station, don’t provide equipment, don’t like people with glasses, unpleasant environment, only clean the court, open bathroom no door no toilet paper, hand drying machine doesn’t dry, dirty floor, gap between wall and floor, sun blinds you while you play, not enough diversity, full of white Middle aged men caught one of them staring at minors, risky unstable architecture looks like a shipping crate, no complimentary wifi, no entertainment other than the middle aged men, infested with rats and birdswho knows what else, no ac, emergency exit covered by metal and wood plaques, court-separating nets have holes in them. Will not be coming back. Hope this place gets burned to the ground and rebuilt for the better.
Well lit , Airy and clean place with bleachers to sit.
Love this place a little hot but love the hoops traction on the main courts are great good amount of space on the bleachers for people to sit 9/10 place to hoop at definitely recommend to friends
Incredibly disrespectful front office. After I kindly informed them I was here to record an athlete as I am a freelance videographer, who I assume was the owner blew up on me for no reason. I,am a 15 year old. Never had any facility at so unprofessionally to me. Shoutout Vaughn Sportsplex, Durham Sportspex and the playground for having great staff.
