Visited this past Saturday and had an incredible experience. Staff and ambience was super welcoming and accommodating. Ordered the sweet-jerk wings with loaded Mac. Absolutely. Delicious. This meal was enough to leave two people stuffed and so so satisfied. The wings were sweet, crispy, and just delightful. The Mac was probably the best Mac I've had in my life. Creamy and flavourful!! Thank you so much for hosting my friend and I, will certainly be returning.
Honey soul food A new and exciting place to fill your appetite for something different. There aren’t many soul food restaurants in the GTA, so when we found Honey Soul Food we were very excited. Upon entering the establishment the aroma smacked me in the face as soon as I cracked the door. The ambiance is warm and inviting, which will make for a wholesome dine-in experience. The staff are friendly and polite which are hallmarks for great customer service. The menu items are very diverse. a mix of some soul food classics like cornbread, Mac and cheese, and chicken wings. There are many unique and tasty creations like the Big Kahuna burger. Defiantly something for everyone here and we highly suggest trying the Big Kahuna. Happy eating Kitchenculture
My po boy sandwich was pretty damn good! Fresh bread, crispy shrimp, creamy coleslaw, topped with a light tangy sauce. Just wished my bread was crunchier! This was served with 3 AMAZING honey-drizzled cornbread! Lots of seating during weekday lunchtime and definitely worth going to!Food: 4/5
100% halal Their cornbread is out if this world, one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. Their candied yams are soooo addicting!! amazing southern classics. Huge portions, great service! I tried their Barbecue Bacon Burger with cornbread and coleslaw, Chicken Tenders with smoked, baked Mac and cheese, Chicken Wings with Loaded Mac,Mango Punch and Strawberry punch
I finally got to try this gem!! I ordered the Big Ol Shrimp with a side of Mac, corn bread and fries. Along with their pineapple punch drink. Everything tasted amazing. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the nice crispy batter complimented really well with their Mac n Cheese. My daughter loved their corn bread and fries. All in all, I would 100% come back and not just for the food but for their staff as well. They were super friendly and welcoming.
We went 30 minutes before closing, to think that restaurant employees complain when a rush happens before closing…. They definitely did not disappoint. Two lovely gals helped us choose as it was our first time there. Very welcome and food was bomb. We had the Hot/Honey chicken wings, Brisket Mac & Cheese, Mac Fries and cornbread. Creamy sauce, all very tasty! Definitely would recommend and go again!
They make the best Mac and Cheese I ever had, Very creamy and flavour full. The cornbread is crunchy delicious with honey flavour. The brisket is soft with a side of sweet potato. The price is really reasonable. Highly recommend.Recommended dishesCornbread, Mac N Cheese
Please order a head of time. I don't mind waiting, but my supposed 40 minute wait was almost 1.5 hours, that too me is ridiculous. The staff seemed friendly, but watching them work, they looked miserable and tired. When ordering, it was difficult to communicate because even though there was a speaker up high, it did nothing so both of us had to be crouching down. Think about changing that. Although my order was correct, I witnessed 3 people return with wrong orders and a gentleman who came in for an order he placed, that wasn't fulfilled. I felt bad for him. The food presentation was good. The wings tasted good, the mac and cheese was not for me. It had a heated kick to it that threw me of. If I wanted spice I would of ordered it. Maybe have a plain option? Overall the food is a bit pricier, I wanted to try but I can't justify paying over$20 for Mac and cheese again when even oxtail hasn't reached them rates.
STUNNING. BEAUTIFUL. GORGEOUS. This restaurant really took me by surprise. I honestly wasn’t expecting anything too crazy as their menu featured classics such as mac n cheeses, po boys, wings, sandwiches and burgers but boyyyy was i wrong!! Honey really knows what’s up and their food was really hit DEEP into my SOUL I’m a huge saucy honey wings type of girl and this really was right up my alley. The wings were sweeeet but not sickly sweet and flavourful and not overpowering the honey either! The wings were served with some deEEEEEElicious mac and cheese. That plate really was something special. The corn breads were little perfection and honestly a great change from fries + burger combo. The chicken sandwich was just a work out art. Well seasoned, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Honey is such a hidden gem!!
Their shrimp was really good and the Mac n cheese was okay. The staff were very nice and friendly. It was pretty busy so we had to wait quite a while for food but it was still a good experience overall. They had Dine in available and their tables are pretty spacious. I would probably come back and try their other selections and the beverages
