Great diner. Very clean and friendly. It's a diner not fine dining. I loved it. Breakfast was delicious and all the stuff including the owner are very friendly. I had ham and eggs and then the owner came out and brought me a fresh muffin right out of the oven. Was just a really nice gesture. I had a bloody Caesar which was very traditional.Next time I will try their coffee. Thursday night is apparently wing night You get a pound and a half for the cost of the pound. The prices on the menu are reasonable and the food seems to have been made in a caring way. I found it delicious. I do live here year round. I've been here for 3 years but this is my first time at Honey's. Most of the people that were in the restaurant seem to be locals versus tourists so it must be good. It's a very friendly place to go whether you're a tourist or a local. I was really impressed and will definitely go back. They are not open for late night dining it's a breakfast lunch early dinner place but all the food seems to be homemade.
Tasty food, good portion sizes, fair prices, good service, great ambiance, and more. We've been coming back to this diner for more than ten years. It did not disappoint. We can enthusiastically recommend. Our breakfast on this trip was a very pleasurable experience.
This is a warm and inviting diner, with friendly and attentive service. I just think they could upgrade the food a little – the hamburgers are not from fresh, the fries are just OK, your typical from frozen, and the schnitzel was over-fried… It’s pretty normal fare, but I just think they could do a little better in the quality department. They also have various tarts for dessert, but the crusts are not true pastry crust so I was disappointed. All in all though, a decent meal in the diner style.

About a year ago, I was not allowed to sit with the rest of the people eating there. A staff member was being paid to check statuses before seating anyone. Every time I think about going to a restaurant, I think about how they disciminate. Was only given the option for takeout.. the food was cold by the time I got back to my cottage. Not sure if I want to give this place a second chance.
I come to visit every year from Southern California. Honey's Diner is absolutely outstanding. We are literally treated like royalty when we were in there and the food is absolutely phenomenal. The staff are absolutely fantastic. They gave us free cookies and bottled water to help us enjoy our trip. It's not the fact that we're getting something for free, it's the fact that they care enough about us to make our great trip memorable. If any of you who have not been to Honey's Diner before and see this review, please stop and try it out. The food is absolutely delicious. They have amazing dessert treats. We visited Honey's Diner on our way home from Peterborough Highlands Provincial Park. Their menu is not huge but one could find a soup a sandwich or a salad quite easily. Both my wife and I loved our food and the service was excellent!
Very cute place! Good food and servers are super friendly we stopped at this restaurant on our way to Toronto and did not regret at all. I had the veggie wrap. It was very delicious.
Great place to visit after canoeing at Burleigh Falls. Cottage feel diner. Milkshake was $5.99; expensive, but tasted really good. I also had the grilled cheese burger. Nothing special and great, but it tasted good. Don’t have high expectations for this place. Just go, enjoy, and eat :
We have been stopping here for a bite to eat every time we ride our Harley out this way sometimes twice a week. My husband can't get enough of the burgers - they are made especially for Honey's using the chef's personal recipe. The burgers are definitely excellent. I have ventured into the menu and tried several items. Every time I order something, I am amazed at how good it is. They always use the freshest products and quality meats. They serve large portions so I find that I have to take part of the meal home. The staff is eager to please and very friendly. They always provide take out containers for us and, if the pastry chef is trying something new, we get a taste - again, delicious! I am also happy that they have gluten free options for those of us with certain food requirements. Their gluten free buns and cookies are moist and tasty. What a surprise to eat delicious gluten free food! The Reuben is one of my favourites! It is huge and very tasty. Their daily specials are also very good and freshly made. I recommend this place to anyone travelling on hwy 28 or staying anywhere in the Kawarthas. Breakfast or lunch or just a snack - it will be worth your while to go to Honey's!
