Such a great 1st experience. Definitely suggest making a reservation ahead of time as it's super popular and not a large space. Lovely atmosphere with multiple candles, lamps, and chandeliers and beautiful tableware. The idea is to order multiple smaller Mediterranean dishes to share. Everything we got was delicious and they have lots of healthier and veg options as well. Cocktails were tasty and we got some Raki with dessert. On the pricier side but worth it. One of our new favorite places
Overall great service, very good food, and a fun unique menu… but some of the dishes were a little heavy, and not all of them were great. Certainly a fun spot worth trying but not among the best in VT
So delicious. Love that the food is served as it's made and is great for sharing. The lamb was outstanding! Our waitress was so nice and explained everything perfectly to us. The Turkish coffee was the perfect way to round off the meal at the end.
Insanely nice service. Delicious muhamarra. The best part was lamb kefta, so flavorful! We got 5 dishes and everything had such interesting flavors. Ginger cake + lebne ice cream dessert with Turkish coffee was the best way to finish a beautiful fall day in Vermont!
Honey Road is a must-eat restaurant. Easily my favorite during my stay in Burlington, where every meal was good. Tuesday evening for 3, told it'd be a 1.5 hour wait but they texted us back after 40 min. Blew me away: snap peas so fresh, crunchy, I didn't understand why but it made my mouth feel alive, farm greens delicious contrast among the greens and crunchy falafel bits. My girlfriend found it too salty, pita great texture, warm, grilled octopus delicious and even the chips with it tasted unique, Greece Lightning cocktail flavors hit in layers each sip, ouzo/herbal flavors hitting last. Great: hot pepper labne, sweet harissa chicken wings uniquely flavored, too sweet for my gf, grape leaf dolma gf said it was her favorite ever, tahini sundae, Rising down cocktail smooth subtly taste of the beet. Good: Baba Ganoush very smoky but no complaint, Tuna Nayeh the baking spices were interesting but didn't seem totally complimentary Made two orders of the pita after the first wasn't enough for the labne and baba ganoush. Seemed a little odd neither came with pita. In addition to cocktails, the menu included beer so we shared a Heady Topper. The menu glossary was helpful. Only criticisms: my gf thought some dishes which I loved were too salty, and it took maybe 10 minutes to get the check when were the last table.
Absolutely delicious food and excellent service. This was the first thing I booked for my trip to Vermont. Getting a reservation is rather difficult; they book up weeks in advance. Keep an eye on Resy; they do get cancellations you can grab.
So good! Nothing we had missed the mark at all. Even the texture of the octopus was amazing, which is so hard to find. I usually will not eat it because of the texture. The service was also great, the food came at a perfect pace and we were checked up on just the right amount. Highly recommend the Heirloom Tomatoes and the Salmon.
Everything was excellent. We were very well taken of by the staff, the food was prepared perfectly, and the drinks were balanced and flavorful. Definitely planning on coming back.
This is easily one of the best restaurants in Burlington. We ate at the bar last night - which is beautiful, gorgeous glassware and all around great vibe. For reference, on a Saturday night, we went in around 8, had a 45 minute wait. I had gotten take out from Honey Road a number of times, which was always very good, but dining in, the food was excellent. We started with the lebneh, then had the winter roots with goat cheese, the roasted sweet potato, the celery root pancake, and the lamb shish, and finished with key lime pie. Every single thing was excellent!! Complex flavor profiles, interesting textures, super fresh. I think a dip and 4 plates is great for 2 people you could probably go one less but we like to eat and we felt very satisfied without being uncomfortably full. You could also do another one if you like to try!. We didn’t drink but I did get a mocktail with sumac which was excellent!! It’s not inexpensive esp in the context of Burlington but for the quality, I think it is very reasonably priced. Our total bill was $100 $50 per person before tax or tip. Highly recommend and am looking forward to returning and taking friends and family!! Also looking forward to eating alone at the bar in the future - I loved being up there, it’s a pretty space.
Amazing time at Honey Road last night! I flew in to see my friends for thanksgiving and had an incredible dining experience at bar seating. We ate and drank and every dish we had was AMAZING. Thank you Honey Road! - A visitor from Tucson
