Well worth the value, our room was clean, location and buildings were quiet, bed was comfortable. Like with other reviews, parking was an issue as we had to park on the road well away from the room. Stairs are narrow and plentiful for any one with mobility issues. Breakfast was included but somewhat bare bones.Rooms: 4/5
Great stay! Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, ans washroom was spotless. My flight was delayed so I checked in At 3 am and was greeted by a very friendly staff member. Breakfast was simple fresh delicious muffins, boiled eggs, jams, coffee/tea. Location was every thing. Will definitely be staying at the same hotel next trip!
Great rooms, clean and modern. Comfortable place to spend your down time. Their minor challenge is sometimes parking. I have stayed here repeatedly over the last few years and only once did I have inconvenient parking. I just have to set my alarm to get me up in time for their breakfast. The one time I managed to make it out of bed before 930 am I really enjoyed it. :-
Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the 24 hour front desk is always staffed which is wonderful. Parking can be limited, so you may need to park on the street some distance from your unit. You should ensure that you're good with climbing stairs - the rooms on the upper floors are only accessible by stairs. If you think you may have problems with this, I recommend letting them know in advance - there are 1st floor suites available at street level. There is a free continental breakfast served from 7:30 - 9:30 and the coffee has take-out cups in case you want to take yours on the road. The location is incredible. You're right at the base of Signal Hill and could walk to the heritage site be prepared for a hike - it's a steep incline, or down to Water Street to take in the shops or restaurants. Highly recommended.
Nice clean, well kept hotel within walking distance to downtown. If you're older, ask for a room on lower levels as the 3rd floor rooms are a bit of a hike upwards. Also, If warm out, make sure you are given a remote for the a/c.
Great location, we walked up to Signal Hill on the scenic trail. It took about an hour. Walking downtown to Water and George Street is 20-25 minutes. Nice, comfortable bedrooms and large, clean bathrooms. Definitely recommend for a visit to St. John's
Nice clean basic room just simple enough as a good home base for St. John's Quidi-Vidi regatta and hiking the Signal Hill Nothing luxury but the beds are soft enough to get good rest and the air conditioner is quiet and works very well. Breakfast is in the main lobby and fresh Good for the $ friendly
Nice and clean rooms with easy access to downtown St-John's. Great views of St-John's from nearby Signal Hill. Free parking in the street. Included breakfast was basic but tasty.
First stay in Newfoundland and it helped us start our trip on the right foot. Walking distance to many attractions. Was able to leave luggage there because of our early arrival so that we could explore Quidi Vidi for brunch. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast offered but you need to come early for a better selection.
Good option for a quick stay in St John's. Super close to signal hill and a short walk to Quidi Vidi lake where there's a great walking path for an evening stroll. The rooms are individual rooms of a townhouse, so essentially you're sharing a townhouse with up to 3 other guests. If you're on the top floor it's a few flights of stairs to climb with baggage. There is a well equipped kitchen that is shared amongst the guests. No one used it during our stay.
