True authentic German bakery and the lady behind counter was from Germany so I knew she would be dead on with bread recipe.. I lived in Germany for 12 year and this place is equivalent to any bakery there.. The rye and beer bread is awesome.. I bought two and I bought 4 pretzels which were true authentic Bavarian pretzels.. Not like that fake they had in town at Bavarian Bakery..a chocolate croissant and raspberry cheese custard pastry.. Bravo to the owner!!!!

Really great savory breakfast strudel! Friendly smiling bakers greet you with fresh out of the oven awesomeness. At 6am too! I woke up early so I decided I would walk to Safeway to get a snack from our hotel on the strip. On the way I saw Dan's Food Market and said "to heck with Safeway". While perusing the aisles I found an amazing gem of a bakery in the back of the store.

The bakery is actually located in Dan's grocery store.

The best cookies ever! If you are visiting Leavenworth, this place should definitely be a stop on your places to see and purchase yummy baked goods. The people are so nice too!
