After struggling to purchase a tool via the Home Depot website, I visited Store#7812 In Woodstock Ontario to order said tool, as it was not in stock. Unfortunately I ran into further issues not their fault. Ann-Marie, Tammy and Spencer could have given me the normal corporate responses and have left me to deal with the issue myself, but they chose to work together and help me resolve the issue that was not Home Depot's. Clearly customer service is a priority to these three and because of them my belief that customer service still exists is restored. I left feeling valued. Thank you Home Depot team.
Truly some bad management decisions abound recently. HD used to do a price match called “meet and beat” where they would match other retailers prices and beat them by 10% but recently they decided to just meet prices. That means that there’s little incentive to shop or even buy at HD . Once you’ve found a good price then why would you go through the hassle of proving to HD there’s a better price only to end up paying the same price! Makes no sense.nOn top of that they now have some questionable online sales tactics . I’ve recently seen some Milwaukee accessories that they market with photos that include storage accessories called packout. In one case there’s 3 photos where 2 of the 3 show the item inside the storage as if it’s included.nI recently had to order some items through the store and have shipped to my home since they didn’t stock it in the store. The associate who helped me also noted that the accessories came inside the packout. When it did arrived of course it was only the accessory minus the storage unlike the photo. There’s numerous items like that . Unlike Amazon or other sites where additional items not included are greyed out visually or clearly noted in bold text HD does not clarify what’s included in the photos. I did return the items and the associate agreed it seems misleading. In fact other stores that sell the identical items don’t include pictures of the storage products . So it’s just HD consciously not being transparent. I found multiple items online that appear to include the storage product but in fact do not. There are many Milwaukee products that do indeed come packaged in the packout so it’s not unreasonable for someone to see the photo and assume it’s included. It’s a reasonable conclusion. HD needs to be more diligent with their online photos and make sure they don’t mislead buyers. Especially when these products are just basic commodities that you can buy almost anywhere HD must really recognize they need to set themselves apart. Customers today are very savvy and can get any item shipped to their door easily. There’s apps that let you track pricing plus the manufacturer like Milwaukee have websites that even tell you where you can acquire their products. You can see who’s the cheapest in minutes . Plus those sites clearly do not show other accessories unless they’re included.

Hello. If you haven't already, I'm hoping you'll look into this. Many of your stores associates aren't performing the morning safety check-list adequately. Hence, I've documented many missing bolts at several of your locations look my other reviews. The last being 60 Grand Marshall Dr in Scarborough. This store had over 28 missing bolts, and I only walked 1/2 the store images attached. Your management team at each of these locations have equal blame.
Disappointing Experience with Home Depot Canada Online OrderingnI placed an online order for two toolboxes on September 5, 2025, with a promised delivery window of September 13-15. On September 16, I discovered the delivery date had been silently updated to September 14-16. Only one toolbox arrived on September 17, and as of September 27, the second toolbox is still missing, despite my credit card being charged for both on September 5.nI made 3-4 calls to Home Depot’s customer service, which appears to be outsourced, as communication was challenging due to language barriers. On September 20, I visited a local Home Depot store and spoke with customer service, who promised a follow-up call that never came. The lack of communication, accountability, and care from Home Depot is unacceptable.nThis isn’t my first negative experience with them. A similar issue occurred with a Father’s Day barbecue purchase, where delivery was delayed without any notification. Home Depot fails to provide updates, delivery confirmations, or photos of drop-offs, leaving customers in the dark. Once they have your money, it feels like they stop caring.nAt over 50 years old, I can confidently say this is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I will never shop at Home Depot again and strongly caution others against ordering big-ticket items online from them. The lack of communication and follow-through is beyond disappointing, and I’ll be sharing my experience to warn others.nRating: 1/5
