Had a great boxed lunch from the Holyoke Hummus Company. I got the Falafel sandwich for a co-worker who raved about it. I got the Falafel plate which was wonderful. Perfect lunch! I also got the tub of Hummus and Babaganoush to go. The Babganoush was freshly made actually within minutes of me arriving and was just the way I liked it. Minor comment: The pita chips were nice but way too salty. I would tone it down next time. May have been a one-time batch error.
Had a great experience here, very friendly service and good food right in downtown Holyoke. Got the falafel plate and the hummus was really good, falafel was also tasty and flavourful - very crispy and garlicky. I personally like slightly larger falafel but I wouldn't complain about this offering. Would definitely return!
I couldn't say enough amazing things about this place!!! I have eaten Middle Eastern food all over the world and I have to say that John and his crew do an outstanding job bringing a little piece of the Middle East and Eastern Europe to Holyoke. The shakshuka was absolutely perfect, as good as I've had in Israel. They also serve some Eastern European favorites, including latkes, which my grandma used to make when I lived in Russia. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you're in the area do yourself a favor and visit this place for breakfast or lunch. And please please please hire him for catering!!!
I miss this establishment dearly. I used to treat myself every Friday to this place, as I worked a block away. I now live in CO, but I visit family in western MA annually around the holidays and I always make a point to stop in and enjoy some grub. Needless to say - I can’t wait to enjoy a delightful meal from this place - really soon! : Tasty food, great atmosphere and fair prices... what more could you ask for?!
Great food and friendly service with reasonable price
My Partner loves their Hummus. I went recently during peak hours of Lunch thinking I may be able to sneak in and out real fast for my $5 purchase. Nope! Place was Slammed! Don't get me wrong, we've watched this place start from a Food Truck to a Booming local spot, right down town! Nothing like bringing good new business to an area that NEEDS it. I waited about 10 minutes before my order there was one waitress taking orders and handling the house all by herself. She was very friendly and professional. I've been many time, where the wait was near to none. I was asked if I wanted Chips, which at first I declined and then said sure...she offered them on the house assuming she felt I had been waiting longer then expected. Said it's nice to keep people coming back! Certainly is! They were delicious! Nice seeing the Owner at Local Farmers Market as well!...A really good Staple for the Community and hope to see them around for years to come.
Holyoke Hummus has great food made by great people. The falafel sandwiches are the best!
Food was freshly made and reasonably priced. Restaurant is clean and comfortable with very adequate seating. Would I go back? Definitely! Only complaint, and it's not even a complaint but a matter of preference, was that I thought there was too much mint in the Israeli Salad.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, sleek welcoming design and my food was delicious. Friendly staff. Best pita chips I've had. This is a great place for vegan or vegetarians as almost all of their food is vegan minus a few pastries so not having to worry about cross-contamination is a huge plus!! No meat cooked alongside my falafels = a happy customer.
Very bland and not flavorful hummus- for a place with "hummus" in the name I expect better. Pita bread is more like lavash than pita - thin and dry. But staff was friendly and it appeared clean.
