Story

The Bioscience Technology program is a two-year science-based diploma program, designed for people wishing to work as technologists in the biotechnology areas related to pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, environment, food and agriculture.

Students will learn basic laboratory skills, analytical and organic chemical procedures and microbiological techniques. Specialized techniques in molecular biology, genetics, tissue culturing, protein purification and immunology will be emphasized. Industrial processes in food, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical production will be covered as well as the health and safety issues associated with these work environments.

Graduates of the program will have the appropriate blend of science background and hands-on laboratory experience to enable them to confidently enter and make significant contributions in any bioscience laboratory or biotechnology based manufacturing or production facility.

Went here for a play. Nice building. Parking is tough and its hard to find your way around. For then music hall better bathroom options would be nice. Auditorium where we watched Anne and Gilbert was great with comfortable chairs.
Holland College is a focus-on-success educational institution. They don't consider failure as an option. They do whatever they can to achieve more. Their approach is not to teach and test, fail if not learned, but teach and keep teaching with any method to be learned. This approach is what I admire the most.
In Holland College, this new 303 seat Florence Simmonds Performance Hall is an excellent addition to the College and the performing arts program. It is comfortable and all seats have a good view of the stage. There is a lobby area at the theatre entrance where receptions can be held in combination with use of the theatre. I recently attended a reception and a picture presentation which the space handled with ease. Parking is available on street and also in nearby student parking lots. I can proudly say I worked with Florence at my first job.
I am very happy to tell you that Holland college is one of the best community college schools in Canada for international students and I will highly recommend Holland college to anyone who has the interest in schooling in Canada
