Welcome to the Hilton Garden Inn in West Des Moines Iowa. We are located in the heart of West Des Moines, just seconds from the Jordan Creek Town Center and many other of Des Moines biggest attractions. We have watched the city grown since our opening on
July 12, of 2006. Since our opening we have done many updates to stay with the times, our first and biggest was the addition of our 5600 square foot Sequoia Ballroom, which was completed in August 2013, shortly after the addition of our event space we added another 45 rooms making a total of 176 guest rooms.

We choose to stay here every time we are in Des Moines for business. The hotel has recently completed some updates. It is clean and nicely decorated. They also have those delicious HGI Welcome Cookies! One benefit to this location is the ability to walk to the Jordan Creek Mall. If it's nice weather, I utilize this feature and take in an afternoon movie. The area also has many nice restaurants within a close driving distance. We haven't ever utilized the pool area, but it appears to be a nice plus if you have young children.

Impeccable lodging experience! This hotel is very well maintained, clean and welcoming. The room was spacious and did not feel cramped like some hotels in other major cities.. The service was very warm and professional. Would gladly stay here again

Great place for a family to gather. Made to order breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. Large jacuzzi, long swimming pool for play or just swimming laps and a very large kiddies play pool. The beds are extremely comfortable. Love this place. It would be good for anyone.

Nice Hotel and really helpful staff. The ONLY reason I did not give it a 5 star was a smell in the hallway that was present both days we stayed. You could not smell it in the rooms, just the hallway and it would not stop me from staying again.

I stayed in the brand new portion of the hotel, 45 new rooms recently were added as well as the convention center. The hotel is extremely clean, the staff wonderful and extremely helpful, and my overall experience for my 3 day stay was pleasant. The hallways are quiet, there are several elevators on each floor, and plenty on entrances so no matter where you are parked you have easy access to your room - our group brought in 2 tour buses and trailers and the staff had coned off spaces (plenty of room by the convention center) prior to our arrival. The pool and hot tub room was nice and quiet, just what I needed! I just wish the hot tub was a bit warmer. The fitness center is loaded with equipment too. They had a business center and laundry facilities too (2 washers, 2 dryers) that I did not use. You need to pay for the breakfast buffet, but they cook the main dish to order. Dinner is set ed 5 to 10. The bar is open 5 to 11 - I did not use either. And last the location is walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shopping-if not the shuttle van runs around the clock and up to a 5 mile radius (more in a pinch). I had a great stay!
