What a great place for a bite, anytime of day! We were greeted with a smile, we had lattes with soy and almond milk, delicious. We took the regular breakfast and the BLT, everything was excellent, freshly made. The Scones!!! Omg, if you ever had the experience of tasting scones from the masters of Scotland, here they are. We tried a few on the Cabot Trail, we've been coming for over 20 years visiting family: best scones on the trail, no doubt. They have 2 variety which is great since my hubby cannot eat blueberries. Coming from Scottish descent, he had tasted homemade scones before, he finally knows where to get them next time We basically wanted to get everything on display. They also make lunch boxes if you are on a hurry , do stop by and enjoy
Traveling through town and stopped here! Great choice, the service was great and everyone was smiling and eager to please. The food was the best part, Homemade soup to die for great sandwiches and specialty coffee also they bake on site. I’m in love
We stayed in Baddeck and this came highly recommended. This place was comfy and cozy, a nice little outdoor patio and some indoor seating The staff was great. We spoke with the owner and her son. They were amazing and gave us good recommendations on what to do and eat near by as well. Friends of ours got the ham and cheese sandwich, the cuban and salmon/cream cheese bagel with a latte. My wife and I also had the Cuban, and the bacon avocado grilled cheese and the brownie cheesecake. Everything was top tier and delicious!! My only negative would be the price for the sandwich with chips and salsa was a bit steel, only reason for a 4 star review. Worth going in every other way and make sure to get their famous porridge bread to make your sandwhich!
Just had a delicious breakfast- “lox & schmear” on a homemade bagel! Most important though- their coffee was perfect! Cute place with heaps of seating, large variety of bakery options, and beyond friendly staff as it is family owned/run. Thanks for fuelling us before our Cabot Trail adventure!
Amazing coffee, Java Blend, have had a latte and drip and both were perfect. Tons of baked goods, great breakfast. Super friendly service. I'm actually adding to this review because of how wonderful this place is. Going here was a major highlight of our time in Baddeck, such a warm spot to visit. One new drink I tried was unreal. The Heat Wave Spritz, so so good.
The cafe was good with good options for food and beverages as well. They have this special cabot trail lunch pack. It has good options. The person attending us was so friendly and warm and they know good spots around the area too. Overall its a good place for a stop if you are on a road trip to cape breton.
Great spot! Busy when we came in but service was not slow at all. Latte and the turnover were delicious. The quinoa scramble wrap was very good as well, although it was cold, unless it’s supposed to be served cold. Still very good overall, cannot wait to come back and try my bakery goods everything looked so delicious.
