I really wanted to like this place. I love a small town gem, but the food was not very good. We both tried one of their East Indian dishes. I wanted the prawns malaikari, but they no longer have prawns, so I agreed to try it with chicken instead. The texture of the chicken was just really off, and it really turned me off of the entire dish. I ordered the malaikari sauce mild because I’m pregnant, but it was just fairly tasteless. I also ordered the rice/naan combo. Definitely not basmati rice, and the naan seemed store-bought. Overall, I was disappointed. I tried my partner’s lamb dish, which I did like more. Service was a bit slow, but friendly.
My first time at Highway Host and the food was AMAZING ! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. The restaurant is very cozy and the whole experience from start to finish was great. Staff are super friendly and kind. If you’re in Rosetown and looking for a good place to eat/takeout, this is the restaurant. I highly recommend this place.
I stopped in on my Birthday yesterday and the staff were very accomidating. I had a beverage while I was waiting for my take out order, they gave me a free pop with my order. Really very nice of them . Thanks so very much, Highway Host.
I had a curry there it was great, and they have a few different curry options than your average place which Is even better Wheelchair accessibility: I was able to get in, winter may be a different story.
Like nah man, like nah, ordered a steak sandwich and they didn’t give me bread, tasted funky as well
The tastiest, and most authentic Indian food this side of Saskatoon! The Chicken Tikka is bang'in, the Vindaloo is popp'in, the Pakora appetizer is savory and this little lentil flour cake ballz with clove and honey syrup for dessert is definitely delicious! They prepare steel head trout as a regular special and it is cooked to perfection! Seasoned right, totally hot and flaky, not overcooked and dry! Hats off to the chef, and the service is friendly and sincere Great place to visit for sure.... I would recommend! Ck out this photo of the dessert....
I would not eat here. Stuffed mushrooms are not good, half frozen when we got them, mashed potatoes was a string, meatballs over cooked and under cooked, very over priced and when I paid with the machine they gave themselves a 10% tip without me knowing until I looked at the receipt!
DO NOT EAT THERE!! Coffee was cold, stuffed mushrooms were cold, burgers smelled and tasted rancid, fries were dripping with grease. Bathrooms were disgusting. Probably the worst place we have ever ate.
The food was delicious. I had the chicken korma and my friend had the chicken cordon bleu. Both were very good.
I ordered butter chicken and naan bread. Greek salad and apple pie. $40.00 total with delivery. Butter chicken was so salty couldnt eat it! I'm used to eating gourmet indian food so I'm picky. Naan bread was more like a giant thick cracker no fluff no butter couldnt bend it. Greek salad was amazing though and dressing was BOMB.the feta was shredded I didnt like that I like crumbled. The apple pie was so f'n good! The delivery guy was fast so my ice cream was perfect. The best pie I had in a very long time!
