Highland Flowers & Gifts is a family owned and operated full service florist and gift shop! Specializing in your every day floral needs and excellent customer service as well as funerals and weddings since 1992.

I had such a terrible experience working with Highland Flowers for my wedding. When I met with Lori to discuss my flowers, we discussed nothing but purple. I showed her pictures of purple flowers, gave her swatches of my bridesmaids' purple dresses, and informed her that the theme of my wedding was lavender (like the purple plant). When discussing our flowers she suggested adding some pink, and we promptly said no, we don't like the color pink. She was not very easy to work with throughout - didn't reply to emails, we had to specifically request a contract - just not especially pleasant, but no big deal. When we arrived at the venue we found that most of our flowers were pink. Apparently, she ordered "lavender" roses, which come in shades ranging from very bright pink to purple (none of this was discussed with us during our meeting). I let it go for the day of because I wasn't going to let anything get me down on my wedding day, but later that week after everyone pointed out how my flowers were pink, I emailed Lori and asked for a refund since we did not get what we ordered. She refused to refund us even partially, despite giving us the wrong color, and refused to acknowledge that the flowers were pink. I then wrote an honest review on their facebook page as I was obviously disappointed in their mistake and their lack of customer service, and was then argued with for HOURS on social media. If that wasn't enough, the co-owner of the place then wrote a rude post on her own facebook putting me down. These people are incredibly unprofessional, and definitely don't listen and don't care when they mess up. Not one apology was offered for their mistake. They were also very difficult for our venue to work with, as she did not want to put the centerpieces together, light the candles, or break down the centerpieces at the end of the night like a florist generally does. Not to mention the flat out lies about the only pink being the flower petals on our tables which were originally in our contract, but she just lied and said they were added later, as if we don't have a contract clearly stating otherwise. Just really rude and disrespectful, very disappointing. Please find yourself a professional for your wedding, unless you want to go with what they find beautiful instead of what you actually like and what actually matches your wedding. Hopefully they won't cyber-bully me on this review like they did the last one.

I absolutely love this place. The staff are fantastic and they have/ deliver the most beautiful flowers anyone can ask for. My husband surprised me last year with a beautiful fall bouquet of flowers and they lived longer then any flowers I have ever gotten from any other store. I recommend them to everyone I know. They are definitely a ten out of ten.

Being in the service industry and a local Vernon, NJ business owner would like to give a special thank you to Highland Flowers. Called this florist mid-morning today and inquired if I could order 3 small arrangements from them for same day delivery to my office in Vernon. Greeted with a welcoming "Absolutely" Took my order and sure enough the 3 arrangements were at my office when promised. Making my 3 girls in teh office very happy. Thank you Highland Flowers!
