Higher Grounds Espresso Bar is a non-profit cafe serving espresso drinks as well as other beverages, breakfast and lunch in Morinville, AB.

Story

Higher Grounds is a not-for-profit espresso bar run by a general manager and a group of volunteers. We exist to serve our community by offering world-class coffee in a relaxed, friendly environment. We provide a venue for local artists to showcase their talents free of charge. We also donate services and financial support to charitable causes in our area. We are a growing faith community reaching out to the larger community of Morinville.

One of Morinville’s hidden gems. Rick and the volunteers always make you feel so welcomed. The best lunch, lattes and sweet treats in town. Egg salad is always a 10/10.
So amazing highly recommend, very kind staff, they were able to deliver out to cardiff and helps me decide on something to send someone, it was a great experience
LOVE this place! The owner and volunteers are incredibly friendly, and the coffee is AMAZING, especially for a volunteer run cafe! It's clear that everyone working here is delighted to be there. Also, all their food is made in store. I haven't tried any savoury items yet, but their sweets are to die for!
This is an AWESOME coffee shop! Do yourself a favour and go. Get one of their grilled turkey and bacon sandwhiches and a latte. They are amazingly community conscious as well. Very friendly and caring.

I ordered the soup and sandwich combo to go. Prompt, kind service! I took my meal and ate it about 45 mins later. The borscht was AMAZING. I’ve had my share of borscht and this is likely the best one I’ve ever had. The sandwich was delicious as well and served with chips and carrots. I also ordered a chai latte with espresso and it was very good as well, not too sweet. I will be back again and can’t recommend this place enough.
This place is awesome. It's a not for profit store and run by volunteers. You can get a coffee card and when it's full you can get a free coffee. Tuesday is double point day. The food is really good as well.
Great little coffee shop with wonderful food with a weekly set menu of three types of freshly made for you sandwiches, two types of homemade soups, a multitude homemade desserts for that Sweet tooth, you're certain to satisfy your hunger. This all volunteer run and provides for the community with coffees and lunches for the needy, only open Monday to Friday till 3:00 p.m.
EVERYTHING, AND I MEAN EVERYTHING is so good here. I frequently eat here for lunch as it's close to my office and the soup and sandwiches are so amazing. The date squares are to die for and the customer service is great! This is truly my favorite place to eat in Morinville and I would travel from St Albert just to eat here. To top it off most of the people who work here are volunteers and super awesome and friendly. Love love love.. Highly recommend if you are near by or even if you aren't
Nice little coffee shop and meeting place in a small community run by the local church.
