Newly opened and thought I would check it out. The manager was very polite and helpful, the female clerk was efficient and also nice. I ordered the classic chicken sandwich, fries and three pieces of spicy thighs. The manager gave me a roasted drumstick sample as well as a container of mashed potatoes. All in all a good experience however a drumstick at $3.99 seems a bit ambitious. The food was properly cooked and tasty. Good luck with your new location.
Delicious local chicken even late at night. Everything is made fresh, and the prices are quite reasonable considering how much food you get. It took a while to get my small order but it was worth the wait for fresh chicken. I also tried the churros out of curiosity and they weren't bad at all. Seating is very uncomfortable but that's nothing unusual for this type of place as they don't want you hanging around. Staff were friendly and helpful, and everything in the kitchen seemed to be well maintained and clean. Great to see. I'll definitely be back to try more options from the menu.

This is the perfect replacement for those craving a crispy Zinger from KFC! Infact, this is better than KFC and miles ahead of Mary Brown's! The burger bun, chicken and the lettuce were all fresh! The portion size of the fries was surprisingly pretty large and even those were fresh and crispy. I'd like to give a shout out to Madi for excellent service and and for offering a discount since this was my first time here! I will definitely be back to try other items! Got the chicken tender meal and biscuit. Fries were good a little bit greasy and the chicken tenders were perfect - not greasy at all, just the right amount of batter. Was made fresh to order so we waited a little bit - what a welcome addition to our neighbourhood here! We needed a little bit of eating out variety within walking distance with later closing hours! Also customer service was amazing, very friendly front staff!!
It’s ok at best. The bread for the sandwich was stale, the chicken in it took up less than half the sandwich. The fried chicken was basic and overpriced. Best part was the fries. Church’s Chicken is 10x better than this place. They’re also paying people off with discounts for good reviews. As you can see in the picture. The staff Do Not wear beard nets/ hair nets. When we came in, the staff on break were spread out on most of the tables forcing us to eat on a high top in the corner. So no respect for their customers. Don’t think I’d come back.
Ate there tonight and was underwhelmed, disappointed and confused. My understanding is you can't get spicy fried chicken in white meat? And you can only get roasted chicken in thighs and drumsticks? I wanted white meat so I guess the only choice is regular fried chicken. Ok I'll give it a shot. Also ordered fries and popcorn chicken. I could tell the moment I looked at the chicken.... This chicken had NO flavour at all. Super bland. Batter had a nice crunch tho. Maybe the dark meat spicy would but who knows because apparently it's not available in white meat? I bought two pieces but only ate half of one and tossed the rest. It was boneless though so I guess that's a plus. Fries tasted frozen. The popcorn chicken was all batter, not sure if some of the pieces even had meat in them?? I was really hoping for another great chicken place but I'm sticking with Popeye's. You can't beat Popeye's spicy chicken!
We were excited to hear that Hi5 chicken finally opened up in our neighbourhood. We’ve been to the location in Maple Ridge and had a great experience. Unfortunately, the food here did not live up to expectations. The chicken was bland and the batter wasn’t crispy. The fries were SO stale - not even exaggerating. They were hard and tasted like they threw old fries into the fryer again just to heat them up. The only thing decent were the mac and cheese bites. So upsetting considering the meal cost $30.00 and was not enjoyable at all. I’m going to give them the benefit of doubt considering that they just opened up and might need to tweak a few things plus training new staff. Will update my review if I end up going here again and have a more positive experience. Edit* I reached out to the email provided in the response and the Director of Franchise responded promptly and let me know that the owner of the franchise in Willoughby would reach out. I haven’t heard from the franchise owner since that email sent from the Director of Franchise on February 24th. Guess the franchise owner doesn’t care about responding back to concerns. Seems like there are a bunch of fake reviews to bump up the rating. Just look at the vague responses and people with under 2/3 reviews on their google profiles.
I bought two classic and one homestyle chicken sandwich tonight. Overall they were good, but my son found a paper piece from his classic chicken burger. Not sure where it comes from, but my son was not happy with it. :Food: 3/5
Excellent Customer service and just love the Spicy Roasted Sandwich. They did provide us with the free sample of Sweet and Smokey drumstick which was very good everyone should give a try to it. They also have the amazing veggie option. Would highly Recommend #HiFive_Chicken. Vegetarian options: Power Plant Sandwich and Tender. Parking: Parking is right at the back of the store.
Tried this place 3 times, disappointed each time, wont be back, ever. Portions are too small, food is ok but there are better options out there for fried chicken. Got the 3 piece meal and i got 1 thigh and 2 legs ? Really ? Complained to no avail, I really cant see this chain lasting in CanadaFood: 1/5
