Went to Food Truck Tuesday at Sinnissippi Gardens and stopped by the Hick's BBQ truck for some Pulled Pork Sandwiches and a side of slaw. When I see their truck at any event, it's a "must stop" for me! Awesome Brisket Sandwiches also, order up, you're gonna be happy you did! The staff is always friendly, definitely worth the drive downtown...
My fiance and I got married at Storybook Gardens last week, and we decided to ask Hicks BBQ to come by as an evening snack/ late night meal for our guests. First of all, Erica is so easy to work with. They were able to offer so many options on our big day- chicken wings, ribs, sandwiches with brisket, nachos with brisket, pickles, jalapenos....everything was phenomenal. My father in law works in the restaurant business and works a lot with meat, and he had so much praise for the bbq! My husband and I scarfing down brisket nachos at 10 pm was one of the highlights of the night. The food is ridiculously delicious- so many of my guests asked for their info haha! and the pricing is very reasonable. HIGHLY recommend : Thank you Hicks BBQ!

Not sure how the food taste because never got a chance to get any as they had poeple wait in line for an hour without informing any one they were running out. Asked if we could place an order at that truck that we waited in line for because other truck was right next to it which still had food. Staff just rolled there eyes and said no that we have to wait in line again for there other truck to probably run out of food without any warning either. Not managed very well and unfriendly staff.
I believe that they catered an event at kennay farms distillery this week my wife wants the potato recipe and she even loved BBQ she doesn't normally like bbq.
Pull pork nachos are the bomb. I look for them every time I go to Food Trucks Tuesday at the conservatory in Rockford
1st time having Hicks bbq got the nachos topped with cheese and bbq pulled pork it was so tasty the meat was so tender all flavors together was so delicious!
Hick came to the Byron Nuke Plant and set up in the parking lot. I got the brisket nachos. FANTASTIC! I look forward to them returning..
